It could be said that the IMA's planetforming operation began It's final stages.
Meanwhile, the Aerthia population Is successfuly brought to the planetforming site, some of the engineers starts "rock cracking" the asteroids for ores, the Ticks stand still waiting to be poured with precious resources for building the future planet's structures.
... It Is readvised that a very small part of the Aerthian population remains at Neyak.

Having seen and heard about all of the commotion going on to the top right of the galaxy, a small fleet of Cartesian ships sets off to see what all of the bother is. The first order of business is the scanning of 'Aerthias Remnants' for technology or valuable minerals, seeing all of the heavy militarisation by the Centurum Universa they decide it would be best to keep a distance.
Mining continues on the asteroids.

As for the matter of returning your planet to a sphere, gravitational mechanics is not the answer. While it could technically work, it would require nothing less than cracking the surface of Merter to make it happen. The only practical answer the Science Council could find is filling the excised area with asteroids and other space debris. If the material of the planet itself is holy (we do not know the workings of your religion, after all), then the excised area itself could be used to fill it in. Just be aware that your mantle forms an incredibly strong compound when cooled in low gravity, which makes breaking up that material vastly difficult -- even more so than breaking up metallic asteroids. We will send the data used to determine this along with this message.

Terraforming is finished, and the new planet is named "Terra Minor", respectfully after Earth.
The Earthling personnel at the Centrum Universe pack up as the terraformer, along with the colonists contained inside land on the centric continent, which will later become the planet's capital.
The INS Ares is at imminent warp speed, and begins to activate its quantum warp breakers.
The Terrans realize the situation at the warp, and their ignorance. Perhaps they're already missing Earth, and perhaps they slightly lied to the Tau. Every Earthling knows even this far in the future, technology was developed to avert MASSIVE weather changes. Most countries effectively recovered their sea-swallowed land. But war and poverty is nothing but prominent.
The fleet contacts The Tau.

Nobody is building any more planets. I don't care if you have fucking magic, you just don't build a planet. Maybe a space station is fine if you only build 1, but the whole point is that everybody has 1 planet so they have to conquer others to expand.
After all, it's called "Create a planet and invade others" Not just "Create a planet"
I think it's in the rules, and if it isn't, it should be.

It's a bit difficult to invade others when people have formed some kind of De facto NATO thing where they tow ass and shoot at you when you Try to expand your imperium.
The TNS put on a great big brother act earlier in the thread.

I personally think the thread has been slow on wars between factions.
I think we just need to get a bunch of allied superpowers to duke it out for an extensive period of time. Too many people are friendly right now, and won't shoot unless shot at (I know, that's what I'm doing too.)
And yet, if a faction is overtly aggressive to make things more interesting, of course all the other factions are going to gang up on that force. (Can be sort of observed with what happened to the Necrons.)

Elsewhere in the system a fleet of two destroyers and the battleship Albedo warps in. Apparently "albedo" isn't a word just like "strategian".

Woah, someone's been darkening and decreasing image quality of the map. I remember milk posting his images as gifs a page back, which also decreased the quality.

Sudden bright flashes can be seen on Omni.
A transmission is sent towards the fleet.
All transmissions suddenly stop. It is unknown what is happening on Omni at this time.
(Replaced Raga's sprites and mine, since they were darkened.)

I save my images as .TIFF because it preserves all the data (I checked, it doesn't change anything), so it's not me.
Photoshop tends to darken pictures after saving.

Ok. I just figured out my images were darkening the picture.
The Tau scout ship is pulled inside the rift, which luckily stays open. The ship ends up on the other side of the Rift. This is likely a whole other galaxy, as all transmissions are out of range.
