I found the first Paranormal Activity film funnier than it was scary.
The Godfather series is a bit overrated for me, but of the three, the last one was the best imo.
I nearly cried at the end of Toy Story 3.
I liked all the Matrix films.

   I found LOTR a bit too cliché and the plot really predictable. I still don't understand why it's touted by lots of people as a great film when the only thing I thought truly commendable about it was the extensive visual effects. Well to be honest, I'm not that much of a fan of fantasy epics anyway. Boxes inbound.

I also think Lord of the Rings is one of the most overrated series. Totally boring. I'm not into the fantasy genre though so it wasn't my cup of tea to begin with.

For me the universe the movie(and the books) paint is the reason I love them.

I can't get myself to sit down and watch a drama movie, but if it's a comedy, I'm watching that as soon as I'm free. I've have had American History X and Reservoir Dogs sitting on my hard drive for months now.
Also I cannot get into new shows, I usually watch when I eat, so say I got my lunch, and I am picking on whether to finish watching the season of Game of Thrones or watch an episode of Flight of the Conchords I've seen a billion times already, I'll choose the New Zealanders.

And I counter all this by forcing myself to watch all these shows before I sleep by putting them on my phone.

Next to Star Wars and Kill Bill, I think The Matrix Trilogy has some of the best action scenes of all time. Then again, that's probably the popular opinion around here, so it's not so much of a confession. I just felt the need to say it.

I never really liked how the series went to just all action. The first one is the best, and the second one has a few redeeming qualities but the third is dog shit. The films were about philosophy, specifically epistemology. Of course, what they're remembered for, are the cool action scenes and not the philosophical ideas presented and displayed. However obvious, or hidden these were, they made the movie. This is my favourite scene in the entire series:

It got to the scene where the nazis barged into a familys house and the family had to stand and salute.
They all did so, except the guy in the wheelchair.
So the nazis picked up the wheelchair and threw him off the balcony.

This scene my friend behind me laughed a tiny bit, which got me laughing a little. Then it was back and forth until we were both laughing out loud.

That exact same thing happened to me. My friend said in a funny voice right before it happened: "don't laugh", so I immediately cracked a smile.

For the longest time, Jurassic Park was my favorite movie of all time, because it had a little bit of everything in it and managed to still be completely amazing: Comedy (well, if you count Ian Malcom's snarkiness as Comedy), Drama, Action, a tiny bit of romance (Dr. Grant and Dr. Sattler were in a relationship in the movie, so that kinda counts), great special effects, and a great cast. This all ended a few weeks ago when I saw The Avengers. Jurassic Park is still a solid #2, but I feel that Avengers had everything I said was great about Jurassic Park, except it was done better.

I am a huge Godzilla fan, and every now and then I WILL take the time to Marathon through all 29 movies, even the American one. I mean, despite everything, the American Godzilla was a great monster movie. It just shouldn't have been called "Godzilla". Also, this marathon also includes the really shitty one that took place in a kid's imagination and had a talking Minya/Minilla (Godzilla's son, the one that looked like a mound of lumpy mashed potatoes).

I used to love Star Wars, but my feelings for it have waned in the recent years. While I'm still willing to watch them, I have plenty of other things I'm willing to watch.

Finally, if TV confessions count, I've spent several years watching nothing but my Mystery Science Theater 3000 DVDs, with the occasional Rifftrax (the internet follow-up created by the MST alums who made up the final cast of MST) mixed in. It's only recently that I have started to watch other TV shows that my brother lends me (I just finished Season 2 of Community earlier today).

Jurassic Park has the most impressive CGI of all time for me.

I mean, the movie is 20 years old and it's still passable today. That's an accomplishment on a massive scale.

I fell asleep trying to watch all 3 LOTR movies, just could not stand them. I did like the cartoon ones a bit though.
Haven't ever seen Godfather, Reservoir Dogs, A Clockwork Orange, Blade Runner, and many others.
Donnie Darko is probably my favorite sci-fi movie of all time.
I've only seen 2001: A Space Odyssey once in its entirety but I've seen the beginning ape-man part at least 50 times.
The only non-Pixar Disney movies I like are Mulan and Lion King.
I fell asleep in the middle of Scarface and the beginning of Kill Bill vol.2 (I was sick at the time for both, though).
I do not get any enjoyment from The Breakfast Club or Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
