Anyone who can suggest a cheaper alternative to Amazon for buying Tom Waits CDs. ?
the RYM charts are kind of biased but there's good stuff in there to grab.
Edited:
discogs/ebay
Thanks, Even though i found that Ebay did not really have the few CDs i lack in my collection
just make sure the seller is up to scratch.
Pablo Picasso, Marcel Duchamp, Camille Garcia, Jerry Uelsmann, Salvador Dali
Nope.

I need help getting new music. Not names of new music itself, I have plenty of that, but places to get new music.
I have literally 5 CDs to my name, I'd like a CD and Vinyl collection, and a little sound studio thing one of these days, but I'm limited to my craptop, headphones, and $30 logitech soundsystem for now. I'm running out of space on the What, so I've slowed down listening to new albums considerably.
blogs and extensive searching.
But thrift/charity shops are also your friend.
I should go check out the thrift store we have here lately. The only music shop in town charges $20 per CD and they're mainly bands like MCR, grunge bands which I have the albums for already, or death metal.
Well, it looks like I finally have something to do with my day, thanks Akayz.
I see a lot of really cool albums for anywhere between £1-£6 in my nearest charity shop. There's a ton of them in this city anyway.
Can't go wrong.
Don't worry, I'll just download more!
rise records gay shit dick
Yeah, Spotify's library kinda sucks compared to iTunes but it's free and I "acquire" anything that isn't on Spotify.
is there any way to tell last.fm what kind of music you like?
so it will get better recommended music?
Listen to more music [that you like].![]()
Aye, that is the only way as far as I know. Or by manually adding bands to your library that you like.
Pink Flag is a pretty great album. I don't tend to like very punky music but this is fantastic.
I should give some more punk stuff a go, though. I've only listened to DK and MDC to any extent before, but I did not particularly enjoy any of the Ramones stuff I've heard beyond Blitzkrieg Bop.
I am a bit bored so lets kill some time.
Why are there no bleep bloops at the queens concert im dissapointed.
get the scrobbler for itunes/winamp and play music on your ipod to store your plays.
Black Breath is a pretty cool band. I'm so glad Akayz posted that video of The Needle Drop, going to def. listen to his recommendations now.
he's cool, but you don't want to "follow" everything he thinks. He's still biased.
On another note I want a cell phone that can use Last.FMs app. The only reason I really want a hand held anymore is for the internet and music, I rarely text or call people anyways.
After this here crap Verizon contract is up, Family Mobile and a nice shiny new Droid phone here I come.
That wasn't supposed to happen! Anyway I see what you mean, and I'll only actively pursue the stuff that I think sounds interesting. There's some things he's reviewed that I know I wouldn't like.
Well yeah, he does push bounderies for himself. That's the kind of thing I like, but he jokes and moans about the really menial things..
plus it sounds like he's doing the weather forecast in most of them![]()
the last.fm scrobbler works for nearly all smart phones but not "some motorola phones" including Defy which is what I have :))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
it sucks because i listen to music more on my phone than on my pc now
I dislike not keeping track of my listens because I think it sort of skews what I actually listen to.
It's not really important that any of it is tracked, but it is nice to see a general trend to find new music.
The jubilee concert could do with a surprise guest appearance from Dragonforce
encounter I will kill.

Hot Water Music has been around for 2 decades and are one of the greatest Punk bands. Don't let bands being signed to a shitty label stop you from listening to good bands. It's a shitty stance. I do agree Rise Records blows 95% of the time, though.
Don't take vedi serious or you might die from a heart attack.
I'm going to say Lacuna Coil because I'm obsessed with them
beyond that i don't know what to say

Rainmeter doesn't take up anywhere near enough RAM to be a problem
Yes.
unless you mean a fusion of the both, which would be amazing. :-)
