All things considered, Stormcloaks is rather the right way to go.
All things considered, Stormcloaks is rather the right way to go.
Thinking of starting a new game of Morrowind. Been three years since the last one, holy shit.
Yeah if you want to make the aldmeri dominion have an easier time kicking the empire's then skyrim's ass.
What I'm hoping is, if there's a DLC expanding the conflict (and why wouldn't there be), Ulfric is talked into allying with Hammerfell. I'm fine with this involving Ulfric's death and replacement. Anyway, the Skyrim-Hammerfell coalition could then join forces with the Empire and take the fight to Alinor. Considering the Empire technically won the last war (they killed the Thalmor's general), and the Redguards and Nords are regarded as the best warriors in Tamriel, victory wouldn't be all that far fetched . That's the main reason I went Stormcloak. I don't buy into their whole 'oppression' thing, even though the Thalmor are making people disappear on suspicion alone.
Remember Ulfric pretty much not caring for any non-Nord, and the Reach incident shows that that applies to other humans as well. The guy doesn't act with much foresight, and his opponents have very long lifespans and can wait centuries to see things go their way. I still believe the undoing of the Thalmol is keyed in the Bosmer and Khajiits, as well as joining forces with the Argonians. Then, inner revolution at Summerset, as it is already been hinted as somewhat in progress.
EDIT: AND getting the Empire to fight back for the cult of Talos.
WHY
Why is this one of the top mods? At least the one guy who complimented the clothes got rated down.
Oh wait, its probably because the guy didn't read the note about the clothes.
Also what the hell body replacer is that? I don't think a woman with that physique could even swing a sword.
I'm suprised there's been no mods about rimming to be fair...
Ugly
fixed
How come when my characters eyes are not in line of sight of the sun, the entire world gets darker? I get what it's trying to do, make the shadows and shade work nicely and such, but... my character not being able to see the sun shouldn't make the entire world darkened. It's silly. The only thing between the eyes and the sun is a 4 inch post.
Is there a fix for this? Shall I change my config? Is there a go-to config prior to even playing the game that might help?
I.e. a page called "what to change before playing skyrim" etc.
I think it's trying to simulate real life. If you stare at the sun for a bit then look back down, the world appears to brighten up a little.
Starting to play again. I'm finally doing what what I've wanted to for a long time and make characters that are wholly Imperials and wholly Stormcloak, and the playing as they would. The Imperial is a good guy and doesn't kill recklessly, while the Stormcloak will attack every Imperial he sees unless he's in a town.
Mnn, it seems like a bug though. Either I've set my graphics on minimum and forgotten or what it's trying to do isn't working as well as it worked when I first got the game. It's pretty lame.
Another one is that shadows are often poor, like maybe 25 grey squares to simulate the shadow of a weapon. Idk, its odd.
That's just skyrim's shadows.
Added a small mods list to the OP, more shall be added/changed later
Started a battlemage (Heavy armour, shield and destruction" character. Fucking shit up for the good of the empire.
Since so many people seem to to be restarting Morrowind I recommend that you stick this in the OP for those who want a graphical update- http://morrowindoverhaul.rpgitalia.net/
I actually started something like that, only in reverse. (Light Armor (Heavy Armor Boots and Shit) Shield and Destruction) I don't even know what to call it :V
My experience with Morrowind is null and that with Oblivion is messing around with an Argonian at a friend's quite some time ago. I'm planning on getting the latter (Numerical RPGs is something I do while doing other things; like playing Pokemon at class). Which version should I get, and things I should know after reading the differences between the 3 latter TES games at UESP?
Probably UNP with really bad custom textures and animations.
Great idea. I'll list all the mods I've currently got installed in case anyone fancies trying some.

If anyone has any questions about the above mods feel free to ask. I've used or come across all of them in some way or another.
I really like simple mods that change a slight detail or value within the game, especially as IMO it's far too early in the games life-span to start using overhaul packs.
The glitch kind of looks cool in this room.
The return of Palpatine!
I also forgot to mention he collects skulls.
Killing the so called "imperials"
I will one day own this throne! Finally some good robes!
Bonus:
Go back in time, take a look at the Oblivion nexus 2 months before skyrim.
There's probably some mathematical equation for it, where the quality of "hot files" deteriorates at a compound scale over time.
I'm sorry what do you mean by this.
Is this what I think it is.
Speaking of oblivion nexus, this looks pretty neat though

Bethesda never really did put too much detail into the textures, did they?
Its essentially just green.
Well his mod description more or less hit the nail on the head.
Edited:
Notice he says "less" as its simply not possible to be 100% not dumb with oblivion facegen system.

Do it.
Finally stopped lurking and posted in the hopes of getting some help. There's this weird entrance to the left of the gateway to Whiterun, right beside the stairs, and it has been annoying the Hell out of me for awhile now. Worst part about it is that it's persisted through multiple vanilla installs, completely disabling Steam Cloud Sync, and even a total system restore (I don't have any mods activated that change the world space either).
Anyone have any idea how I could go about fixing it?
Probably just a map design error, unless I'm reading this incorrectly.
There's lots of crap like that where Bethesda didn't "close the gaps" in terrain.
My battlemage turned into a VampireNow I work for the dark brotherhood, and I'm using a vampire revamp mod to keep things fun. I can't help but feel OP though.
What's the best lighting mod to get
So, the Empire would beat the Aldmeri dominion?
Because it worked so well the last time.

Still, I wish you could Kill Ulfric in the Stormcloak campaign.
A few of you may remember how I bought skyrim, waited a whole month for it to arrive, it arrives with no CD key, and somehow my dad fixed that.
he told me how he got the key, he just went off to the nearest EB Games shop, found a PC Skyrim case with the manual inside, took a photo of the key, then ripped off part of the key, then gave the case and manual to the desk and went 'Oh I was just looking at this and I found the key is trashed'
I guess it all works out. I mean, I bought the game for 50 bucks out of my own money, game was useless without a key, my dad 'stole' a key, but then damaged the key so the copy would get thrown out. (Like most stores the disc isn't put into the case after you buy it)
Re-assemble Numidium and they'd be able to kill pretty much everything. Would be kind of recycling story elements if it actually happened, through.
The God Talos, also known as Tiber Septim is on the Stormcloaks side though.
Which is kind of Ironic, since he's the founder of the Third Empire. But as said in Skyrim, "The Empire is dead."
So basically, the Empire in Skyrim is the "Fourth Empire", which is something different than the one we know out of Morrowind or Oblivion.
Oh god, this is so good.
Fun things to do as a vampire?
