It's precisely what happened to MacArthur.
It's precisely what happened to MacArthur.
That doesn't matter at all. Nor would it in any other job.
If I went up to my supervisor and told him that I would not do what I was told to do, I would be fired.
"Say that to my face fucker not online and see what happens"
Minus the going up to part
Yes you will. He got an OTH (other than honorable) administrative separation. I see it ALL the time. This just happened to be high profile because of the president and the fact that they media made a big deal out of it.
Owned.
Don't like the president, don't join the military
Problem solved?
Don't like the president, don't bitch about him in a public forum while attempting to align yourself with the military.
You guys do realize the military can't afford to become a political battle ground?
There is too much money, funding and other such things floating around. They have to be apolitical and pragmatic.
That's why you can never say anything political while in the military. This is as much a self preservation tactic as it is a thing of respect.
and more recently, General McChrystal
OP is incredibly dense if he can't understand this.
faze isn't dense. For every smart post he has 100 dumb ones. That's all.
Just like the rest of us. (Except for me, I have a 1:99 ratio)
Uhhh, he like, get's paid money to follow orders.
I will never respect military people, they are NOT heroes, they signed their life away to be contract killers for the government.
People don't usually go into the military to be a hitman. They go to have the huge benefits, job security, expert training and schooling and for the culture. The military is a great life for some people if you manage to stay away from war. Then suddenly, all these poor guys are told to go here/there and are put in prison if they don't like their orders.
I have no respect for the military culture or life, but soldiers are still people who hate the crap war brings.
You're a god-damned moron. Shitloads of the people I have met here joined because they actually did want to help the country, and lots of other people don't really have alternatives. Almost NOBODY joins because they want to be a fucking killer and you're an asshole for suggesting that.
You really are a fucking retard
Why is it in the oath to swear allegiance to your country when you are serving your country?
...wat
Because the Coast Guard, Marines, Navy, Army, or Air Force, have never EVER provided aid to people in any way shape or form. Nope. All they do is find and kill people!
Read a fucking book.
Anyway, if you're a soldier, the President is your boss. It's that simple.
Basically this.
Its the same for the rest of the world, faze. Every single country.
Well actually, I remember seeing some guy on 4chan who was mad that they wouldn't let him in the military when he kept telling the recruiter that he would kill anybody they told him to.
Except there are plenty of jobs in the military that have nothing to do with killing.
Publicly? He's the commander of the armed forces. The guy made the mistake of making those comments public and open to all. That is essentially insubordination and would be no matter who the president is or isn't.
It's like criticising your boss openly.
Exactly, if you genuinely like killing people then there is something seriously wrong with you.
That's okay, I'll never respect you. You don't have a job, you live off your mum's tit and you're a smelly neckbeard whose greatest achievement in life is racking up a 12 hour red eye session on world of warcraft
P.S 90% of the jobs in the military are non combat
Doesn't matter, he disrespected a superior officer.
Then join the Peace Corps.
I don't think it would really be superior officer, as the president is civilian. But he is the commander-in-chief.
I joined the military to pursue a career in flight. I am currently a crew chief for Kiowa Warrior helicopters. I am only 18 and the Army has trained me to repair and service multimillion dollar aircraft for no monetary cost. I would love to see anything that could even compare outside of the military. I joined to gain technical skills and to do something with my life other than sitting at home playing video games. I joined because the military provides great care for its people. I did not join to become a simple killer.
Cool, im gonna be a sonar tech on subs.
Meh I wish I could join the military or swat, but I don't think they let diabetics in, it really sucks for me
