I probably should have mentioned this a week ago, but I didn't make an item. The theme didn't appeal to me.

The judging has begun, now before I tell you the specifics let me tell you an interesting story of life at ModComp HQ..
This morning, first floor "management" Modding Competition Head Quarters:
Hey Tal whats going on? Tal? ... ehm are you going to do anything else but flailing about whilst running? Tal? Maybe telling me whats going on?
While being confused I left Tal running around madly I silently walked towards the nearest computer to be shocked at the sight I saw. It wasnt that Tal forgot to erase his browsing history that disturbed me, it was the fact that all the entries had been received! A neat total of 16 out of 37 teams have successfully sent in their entry, after shedding a manly tear my attention went that out of the whopping 37 teams less than the half sent in their items?
This wasnt as planned I heard Evil saying behind me while he was trying to calm Tal down with a granola bar. We have 12 judges that need to examine 16 of the 30 entries we expected.
How do we solve this?
Well fear not, that silly incoherent story must have confused you. So we took matters into our own hands and bought Tal a ticket to Greece to solve their economical problems.
In the meanwhile the Judges are fed a constant stream of ModComp Entries and hats while we take our time to closely examine the entries, build new webpages, create artwork, exchange secrets with certain server owners and steal hats and items from the Irish.
If you're a judge we would like you to check your inboxes and reply as soon as you physically can that you received the files.
If you aren't a judge we would like you to patiently wait, in case of emergencies we still have a couple of granola bars left.
Further announcements to break the maddening silence of the judgement process will follow.

haha fuck I forgot to edit my vmt with the new bastetexture hang on
I have a feeling a few people may have made the same mistake, as there wasn't a reminder in the instructions and when testing it it still works because the vmt refers to your old vtf

Updated the archive, .vmt files pointed to old filenames.

That is certainly strange... my .qc has
$modelname "modcomp/medic/medic_musicalbp.mdl"
...
$cdmaterials "\models\modcomp\medic\"
and the vmts
"$basetexture" "models/modcomp/medic/Medic_MusicalBP"
And I've deleted the mdl/vmt/vtf files I had in player/items/medic and I can see it in hlmv loading it from tf/models/modcomp/medic.... I'll recompile again just to make sure...

Cant believe I made such a stupid mistake. Didnt know anything was wrong since I had then in the c_items folder as well as the modcomp ones

Great to hear as I do take my time to come up with something entertaining.
Slamming my head into the keyboard produces the same result though.

With the extension to the creation period, should we expect a similar delay in the judging period?

I'd say yes, we have set a goal for the 2nd of June though
We've already drastically changed the whole judging process so it should be faster than before.
To add: the judges are doing more than just giving out scores this time around.

Well I got to say this was a quality competition. You guys did wonderful items and I really enjoyed reviewing each of them. I also saw how some people from the #1 ModComp improved and I got to say, good job guys !

The Final Countdown
As usual judges put effort into their abilities to push deadlines, making waiting more unbearable and wearing fashionable sparkly hats.
Or we have Tal forgetting to make backups or using undo buttons.
Reason for panic? Why yes, however being the bold and innovative group of men that is the ModComp team we have successfully calculated the release of the results.
You may ask yourself "How is this possible?" "Did you guys run out of granola bars?" "Did Tal solve the economical problems in Greece?" "Is Batman really Bruce Wayne?"
Well no, we all know Bruce hates bats.
The results? Well according to my eightball it's this weekend.
As a request to everyone whom entered: send us a release ready/mod download so we include that on the results page.
