First of all, despite the second grade graphics, this is a pretty serious interactive game so I do not accept "Run around naked!!" commands.

Here are the three characters which you can choose from:

    Edgar James White

    Time: 1876
    Age: 39

After unsuccesful try at farming near Cheyenne,
Edgar will follow many others and try travel to
Black Hills and strike the gold.

Notes: A former Yankee general and still acts like one.
    Evan Smith

    Year: 1871
    Age: 22

    Silver City, New Mexico

Raised without a father, Evan finds outlaws
fascinating and tries hard to be one.
    George Johnson

    Year: 1869
    Age: 42

    Kingston, Missouri

George Johnson, a father of three children,
is a farmer. That's going to change when
    Jesse James steps in.

Choose the character and lets get started!

The Wild West didn't really exist after the Reconstruction Era, FYI. The Homestead and Pacific Railroad acts in 1862 pretty much obliterated its lawlessness. Though the most famous outlaws reigned during the late 70's and early 80's, they were mostly the last of their kind.

The era of Desperados, Bandidos and American Outlaws was mostly prior to the Mexican-American War and the annexation of Texas. Banditry was very, very rare from 1850 onwards.

Captain Buzzkill or not, might want to go with a more 1830's-50's route, prior to the US' acquisition of Texas and during the cross-migration between Mexican and American territories.

Yeah I kinda know that, but I was mostly looking at Jesse James and Black Hills gold rush so that's enough for me. Wild west or not.

    Edited:

Three hours left to decide, got some other things to do.

    George Johnson it is.

Like any other family in east Missouri, George has three lovely children and a wife.
He has a small field of wheat and a pork. The Johnson family holds seven horses,
six of which are for sale due to lack of food.

For months, the Johnson family has lived at the expense of their neighbour, Buck,
who is Georges cousin. It's November 28th now and Buck can't spare anything anymore to the
Johnson family. (George himself didn't go to beg. He couldn't stand the fact that he cant
    provide for his own family.)

Your children are aged five, seven and thirteen. All of them are girls.
You have some relatives in Chicago, which lies 460 miles north.
What you don't have, is a working cart, one of its wheels is broken.

Still.. Something has to be done.

I thought that it'd be more interesting without them.

    Here they are:

    > Try to fix the wheel.

    > Send your wife and children to Chicago. They'll find a way eventually.

    > Go look for jobs in the town.

    > Send your wife and children to beg (where?)

    Edited:

Should I make options every time?

You say good bye to your children and leave your home to search for jobs.

It has started raining and it isn't warm either.

You have no luck at finding jobs...

The laughter from the saloon is calling you inside.

As you step inside you smell the nice/bad smell in the air.

You can see some people playing poker and your neighbour on the counter, drinking whiskey.

Cigarettes, matches and a knife. (You forgot your gun back home)

It should certainly work better than trying your luck at a likely crooked gambling game with naught but a few dollars you got from selling some cheap cigarettes that may not be bought anyway.

You try to change the cigarettes to chips but doesn't accept this, saying "Only dollars."

Your cousin and neighbour shouts to you: "Ey George! You owe me at least one bottle of whiskey!"

EDIT: Didn't see the whiskey post.

Try sell your horses, get to know the people. When your neighbour comes over, tell him that if you can sell the horses, you'll get him a bottle of Daniel Jackson's Prime Whiskey (See what I did there?)

George explains the situation to Buck and he seems to understand it and buys himself a shot.

George approaches the table where two men are almost whispering to each other.

    - Excuse me.

    - Huh? What in the devil do you want?

    - I got six horses for sale just outside the city.

    - Oh really? Who are you?

    - George Johnson.

    - Johnson.. Maybe we have a need for them. Could you show them to us?

Agreed. but be careful. Those men don't look very nice. Say that you can go home and bring the horses here. And bring a gun in secret. Those men may be bandits.

George tells the men that you are going to bring the horses to the town.

They seem to agree with that and continue chatting with each other.

    It has started snowing.

George sees a strange horse outside his ranch.

    He cautiously steps inside.

There's a man with a smirk on his face in the living room.

He holds two revolvers on his belt.

    - I asked your wife and children to go in another room. I have some things to discuss with you.

He offers his hand for you to shake it.

    - Charlie Buck. Pleased to meet you.

    Continue chat or do something?

(Yeah. I don't know why I did that.)

They shake their hands and sit down.

    - I've heard you own some horses.

    - Six are for sale. Lost my crops because I was sick almost the whole summer.

    - Do you have more than six?

    - I have one more, but that isn't for sale...

    - How about we make a deal... 7th of december seven people will come this way and change their horses to fresh ones and continue their trip.
They need seven horses ready. I'll give you 100 dollars here and now if you agree to help them.

Wait. Will he leave after payment, or stay with the horses? I say cheat him. Take the hundred dollars, promise that you will get the horses to the people yourself, and then go and take your family to the town. Sell horses to the gentlemen, and then buy a wagon. Then, head out west!

What if we can't get a wagon fast enough? We'll get caught between a rock and a hard place,in this case the rock being the seven people who need fresh horses and the hard place being a whole load of other things that we'll likely get into as a result.

Your plan is to cheat the guy, take the money, double it by selling the horses to the gentlemen in town, buy a wagon and look for a better fortune elsewhere.

    - Yeah. I'll do it.

George heads to the town with the horses and goes to the saloon.

It's 11 o'clock and you can see it just by looking in the saloon.

There seems to be a third guy with the gentlemen.

He seems to be Charlie Buck himself! No wonder the horse outside looked familiar..

"Did you change your mind!", he shouts to you.

No, we just went to the saloon with our money. Just say to him, "Na, I gotta pay off some of my drinks to my friends, that's all!" Go and buy a drink for your cousin, and just lounge around. Its fine if we can't cheat the guy, we'll just use our hundred to get a wagon. A 7 horse-carriage is really fast, I heard. If you get what I'm saying.

If you don't: leave. Go to the carpenters, ask if they have a carriage for sale.

"Nah, just gotta pay some debts to my cousin. In the form of a whiskey." George pretends to chuckle.

George tries to walk past Charlie but he kicks his boot on Georges way.

    THOMP!

    - These two fellows here are my friends. Now, my friends told me that you were selling your horses to them earlier this day.
(Takes a little break). Unfortunately I have a good sense in these things. You might have fooled any other guy, but not me.
Let me ask you this: Did you change your mind or do we have a fucking deal!?

(Everyone's silent in the saloon, waiting for your answer.)
