Really because you can't be assed to do simple tasks on a computer?I'd rather pay for the relevant services required to access Usenet then.
IF I DO have to use both money and effort to get entertaiment, then I'm picking the most rewarding option
Step 1. Rent VPN, privatetunnel for example is easier then making mac and cheese assuming you don't live in English speaking western nations and is not time limited.. you buy bandwidth in GB's.
Step 2. Register for netflix for like $8 a month with infinite movies per month.
Step 3. Watch shit and don't complain while at the same time feel nice because you're supporting the developers.

Not a service I have any use for. I'd only be able to watch it on my computer, and had to stream every single thing I'd want to watch. Internet being a dick? No show. Netflix being a dick? No show. Plus it's not fucking supported in my country...
I need offline access, and if I can get offline access via usenet for 5$ a month, why would I pay 8$ a month + cost for a vpn for a streaming service that may or may not work properly?

Or you could just tether off of your cell phone or get a 3G USB dongle. Then again I live in the west and don't face the problems you face such as internet outages.

On a more serious note, why is the RIAA adding these unskippable antipiracy warnings if they want to stop piracy? All it does is encourage it... the pirates remove the warnings and other forms of debauchery, they put the full thing out for free without drm bs whereas you pay $20 for drm-locked content. As I see it, the industry should work off of "you pay $20 you get a copy, it's yours" and not "you pay $20 now we're tracking you, what you do with our stuff, and you don't control how you see it".
Edit: also "streaming a movie off 3g network" who would pay for that, unless you're wifi'd, steaming movies purely off mobile data networks would mean you either like REALLY blocky movies, or you're rich as hell.
Unless it came with the phone such as, in same cases, Jame's Cameron's Avatar.

Oh, no DRM, that worked so well for the Witcher 2 and GOG which happens to have a rather lively thread for illegaly downloading their DRM free games in a certain subforum here.

Not only is this against our rules, threads of this nature are usually reported and dealt with (as in, locking it) rather quickly. If a thread for "illegally" downloading GOG's games isn't locked and the thread's over 5 days old then there's a legal way to get their games which you must be oh so conveniently overlooking.

It did ? the game sold well, never heard of anyone pirating it and the difference between the witcher 2 and and assassins's creed 2 is that CDProjekt didn't waste any money on useless DRM crap, and both could be downloaded the same way.
So really, it IS useless, and people act like every single pirate would happily buy their games if they had an absolutely flawless DRM, thing is: they wouldn't. I used to pirate every game that i considered shit and not worthy of a purchase, but i stopped and haven't done that in at least a year, does that mean i buy them instead ? no, off course not. I don't give a shit. The pirates don't give a shit, those are NOT potential sales.
And games nor movies will die because of that, anyone who's serious about it and really enjoys the work will buy it, the business will survive if you have loyal customers, so what about focusing on getting those ? instead of pumping your shit full of DRM, pissing off your customers and only benefiting the pirates.
