This is the thread about Intelligence heroes. If you have any questions or concerns about them you're in the right place. Lemme talk about what they do for a second...
90% of Int heroes can be lumped into three catagories: support, ganker and nuker. Crystal Maiden can support can gank but she can't nuke very well (low damage). Zeus can nuke but he can't gank very well (no stuns). Bane can nuke and gank very well but is somewhat dependent on items and doesn't make the best support. Chen can gank and support but doesn't nuke well at all. Lich can nuke, gank and support because Lich gives no fucks about the rules. There are other roles, like Tinker, Shadow Shaman and Enigma are good for pushing too. Enigma, Batrider and Dark Seer are good for initiating. Hopefully you get what I'm saying though. There are a hands worth of carries in the Int hero pool too. Obsidian Destroyer is a great counter carry to Str and Agi heroes. Windrunner can be built into a carry if she needs be (but is another hero who gives no fucks about the rules). Silencer can work too under the right circumstances. It's an interesting group of heroes that probably takes more time to learn than any other group.

I think you should add pusher to the list too. The best pushers in the game are all int. Shadow shaman, leshrac, furion, tinker, chen, enchantress, pugna, Krob, enigma, and jackiro.

What's so debatable? Besides not talking about pushers, which I'll change up later.

Windrunner can carry at REALLY late game to be honest. When you got your main core/luxury you can just go nuts on damage items to take advantage of Focus Fire, like MKB or Daedalus. Its not just me talking, pros do it if a game overextends itself.

Just because something works doesn't mean it should be done at all. Windrunner is far more effective supporting with a mek and force staff.

I actually havent seen the game where he does it. I have seen M5 do it and other teams, also in the DOTA 1 pro matches.
Its to me, the only way to go with her, because in any other way the potencial of focus fire just goes to complete waste.
I know, thats why I said about getting your core(Mek, force staff) and luxury(Scythe) first then go for damage.

I have to disagree on the "Rilay isn't a nuker" part.
I admit, I thought this at first too, and rarely even leveled ulti until I didn't have any more abilities (or stats) to put points in, but a simple match changed it all. We got ganked in our forest, everything was going well and we thought we could stop it but then CM appears and ults us. With all our disables wasted on her team mates and the slow that the ability does we couldn't stop the channeling. We all died that day. 5 brave heroes put to the ground by that bitch. I checked the damage done thing that appears and she did ~60% of the whole damage.
Then the next match I picked her and rushed Veil of Discord (well, as fast as you can rush while buying wards, smoke and dying here and there). Well, after that I put two points in the ulti at level 10 and 11. Woah. So much damage everywhere! Killing the opponents was just a formality for my carry.
So yeah that's my take on CM.

Does she have any spells that do outrageous amounts of damage WITHOUT amplification?
No. All Crystal Maiden will ever be is a rack of tits that has outrageous Crowd Control ability.

How do you guys feel about an invoker wex exort build? I know it sounds stupid but i saw a guy do it once and he did alright.

Alacrity on a riki/lycan/drow/yourself, if fed/Bounty Hunter is too fun.

Lina is so fun. It's cool to be a weird mix between nuker caster and a DPS character.

I wanna learn to play Ogre Magi, I love his/their design and the idea of casting a spell multiple times just because he/they felt like it sounds hilarious.
Don't have Dota 2 yet, getting an invite in the mail. But I've been watching guides on him and watching people play him.
By the way, which head is meant to have which voice? I always thought of the yellow-face paint and hat wearing head had the high-pitched voice.

Voice wise its been the opposite with me, the tough voice on the angry looking guy with the club, while the laid back looking one is the high pitched Pinky one.
But you cant tell because both mouths move in the portrait, bugs.

Oh man, I'm not the only one who thinks the higher-pitched head sounds like Pinky.
We need a "Pinky and The Brain" soundpack for them right now.

I really like Dazzle. It feels so good when a teammate bows down and worships you for saving them.

Could anyone give advice on Ogre Magi?
Usually I stay on a lane until I get Arcane Boots, then I go wherever it looks like I can help, getting some kills on the way, then getting Scepter when I got everything. After that I get Shivas Guard then Mekansm. (If the match hasn't already ended I get Scythe of Vyse)

Getting chased by a Bloodseeker as Lich around mid after warding.
Sacrifice a creep of mid lane, "I'll PUT this soul to use.." followed by Frost Blast and getting a kill of the BS.
Felt awesome.

Getting Mek after Scepter and Shivas is like really dumb, either you have another support to make Mek (CM, Lich, etc), either you have to make it before Scepter itself.
Also I would take 1 level of Ignite at 2 and then max Fireblast and Bloodlust, we already had a debate on the fact that Ignite scales poorly with levels.

So I should keep Ignite at level 1 until I am at the stat levelling point? Its fairly useful against Clinkz and Bounty Hunter.
Also, if not Mekansm, should I go directly for Scythe?

Chen is the funnest jungler, like holy shit. Dominate the healer creep, the centaur khan, and maybe an ursa or something like that, proceed to fly out of the jungle and do 400 damage with w.
