Synopsis

Set on an island off the coast of New England in the 1960s, as a young boy and girl fall in love they are moved to run away together. Various factions of the town mobilize to search for them and the town is turned upside down -- which might not be such a bad thing.

Moonrise Kingdom is a culmination of all of Wes Anderson's previous work. If you liked Fantastic Mr. Fox or The Royal Tenenbaums, or anything else he made, you'll love this. It's full of excellent color, dramatic settings, and meticulously placed sets, as Anderson demonstrates his talent for creating elaborate mise-en-scène. Quick and deliberate editing and cinematography set the comedic pace of this movie perfectly, as a well-picked cast delivers line after line of witty dialogue.

I've been looking forward to this for ages.
Too bad none of my friends would want to see it. It seems like a good movie to take a girl to though.

it's more of a good comedy than a really romantic film

What if its a dude your trying to fuck? What if you're wanting to wedge your meat pole up his chocolate wallet?
The age of the actors    in the love scene where they're rolling around in their underwear were 12    at the time of filming, tbh I wasn't sure it that was pushing his luck a bit. Either way it was a great watch, the film that is, not the scene with the jailbait.

pretty late but i just saw this and its pretty fuckin good

   whats up with when sam is being chased into the lightning field, then when he gets struck, its as if they were never being chased? seemed like a plothole.

   im pretty sure the lightning strike hit all the people chasing him back or something, and then the group that's helping him comes up to him
