As a preliminary note, no you cannot be a mutant That means no Bloodsucker Stalkers.
For those of you who haven’t played S.T.A.L.K.E.R or need a refresher:
You can skip this, S.T.A.L.K.E.R veterans.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R is a game about the Exclusion Zone, called “The Zone” by its fictional residents. The Zone is a one hundred kilometer zone around the CNPP, The Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant, in Ukraine. Reactor four of the plant exploded, bathing the “nearby” area in radiation. The nearby city, Pripyat, was evacuated. This is when S.T.A.L.K.E.R takes off.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R is about fighting for your life in the Zone. Mutants and unexplained phenomena called “Anomalies” wander the wastes. Most Stalkers devote their lives to retrieving precious “Artifacts” from the Anomalies, these items have amazing power, but not without a cost. Most artifacts generate very powerful radiation, but only when very close to the body. Stored artifacts are not dangerous.
List of NPC factions I will use:
Military: Ukrainian soldiers with some Russian support. They have an official shoot-on-sight for all nonmilitary humans.
Monolith: A cult whose brainwashed soldiers are unusually well equipped. Dangerous and fanatical opponents. Uncommon except toward the center of the zone.
Duty: Mostly ex-military who seek to destroy the zone. Controlling, but among the best organized of the factions.
Freedom: Anarchists, and long term survivors of the zone. They seek to understand the zone, viewing it as the greatest gift to mankind.
Bandit: Loners who decided to prey on their fellows. Generally poorly equipped, using whatever they can loot.
Loner: The have-nots of the zone. Poorly equipped, they tend to be little more than moving targets for the rest of the zone.
Mercenary: Foreign specialists hired to bring interested parties fragments of the zone. They tend to be armed with a variety of weapons. They tend to shoot first and ask questions later.
Scientist: Ukrainian, UN, and Russians who seek to understand the zone. They often hire other factions as mercenaries to guard their facilities or bring them things.
Clear Sky:One of the first factions established in the Zone, Clear Sky was dedicated to researching the Zone and learning its inner workings, and are not averse to hiring mercenaries to perform missions.

Before you send me the most badass character ever: You will start with your lucky item, if I deem it acceptable, A cheap load-bearing vest, over a hoodie, and an AK-47 with two clips of ammo.
