LAS VEGAS -- It appears the new Manny Pacquiao is not the same as the old Manny Pacquiao.

Pacquiao, who turned to religion this year, had won championships in a record eight weight divisions, and appeared to dominate his fight against Bradley, but it was Bradley who was awarded a split decision, handing Pacquiao his first loss since 2005 Saturday night before a capacity crowd at the MGM Grand Garden .Bradley remained undefeated, improving his recored to 29-0, with 12 KOs. Pacquiao fell to 54-4-2, with 38 KOS.
there will be riots in the phillipines tonight

Honestly, the decision was bullshit. Pacquiao obviously won, he landed more punches and overall fought better than Bradley. I admit it was a pretty even match but Pacquiao won in the end

Pacquio is still a total badass, anyways doesn't he have a lot of other jobs to worry about other than boxing?

Yeah, karma's a bitch. Remember marquez beating pacquiao twice but the refs handed pac the win regardless?

Fuck off. That wasn't nearly as blatant as this. There's a difference between a questionable decision and corruption.

Yeah, my whole family and my country is in an outrage.

Clearly a rigged match to begin with. I just hated that smug ass Bradley. Pacquiao always looking to God is just inspiring.

Spilled my drink when I saw the result

Iirc, Bradley thought he had lost too. And it looked like his wife or girlfriend knew he lost too.
And also for some reason I blame that female judge who only had like 8 years of experience in judging.

Boxing has become rigged for quite sometime now sadly, I swear all of the judges are getting paid to make the loser win, they're killing boxing making it how it use to be, a pile of shit.

Bradley's trainer gave it to Pac, not to mention according to an ESPN correspondent Bradley evening saying he tried but he just couldn't beat him before the results were announced.

    Boxing is fucked.

Yea. Pacquiao definitely deserved that win; he had the higher percentage overall, but the judges were fucking idiots.

I'm starting to think that boxing is becoming the new WWE, matches with predetermined wins/losses and whatnot

It's never going to be that bad, but boxing is the most corrupt combat sport, if not the most corrupt sport period.

Honestly this reeks of Bob Arum's work. He's rigged the judging so that people will pay to see a revenge match between Pacquiao and Bradley, which Pacquiao will likely win, there by setting up third match to line bob arum's pockets nicely.

The biggest benefit he gets out of this, is the next two fights will prevent Mayweather from ever taking on Pacquiao, and Mayweather is so close to retiring again it isn't funny. Bob arum HATES Mayweather.

Boxing and sumo wrestling are both corrupt to hell. But with the sumo wrestlers its for ranks. The corruption in sumo wrestling is so bad that one of the wrestlers went to the media to expose it and then was promptly killed by the other wrestlers by the order of their coach. And then the police promptly covered it up as a cold case.

The number of punches mean nothing, and its pretty hard to tell power punches and how hard someone could be punching. Compubox is all QUANITATIVE and not QUALITATIVE. A lot of punches in Pac's flurries missed and Bradley cut the angles pretty good in them. Watch the fight without the overly biased commentators and actually score the ROUNDS instead of overall punching numbers. I still think Pac won but it was closer than most of you think it was.

i agree with this, brad dodged a few of pacs punches and pac sometimes swung into the air.

I think the biased commentating, compubox numbers and people's love for Pac influenced their opinions on the fight and how close it was. I personally dislike Pac as a boxer and a person but still think he won. Maybe it was his coasting in the later rounds in the fight that cost him. I just didn't think bradley did enough counter punching wise to win.

You're kidding right? Bradley threw way more airballs than Pacquiao, that was an 10-2 affair easily. Bradley couldn't make Pacman respect his power at all, and Pacman was just laughing and grinning the whole time. That fight was not close. Even the Bradley fans in the bar I was watching were shocked when it was going to be split decision, let alone Bradley taking the decision.

i never said tim threw any air punches. he did quite a lot in comparison, he was basically punching the air in front of pac when they weren't fighting.
anyways, it was bullshit. manny should have won. my family was literally screaming and shocked when they announced bradley as the winner. they were just casually waiting for pac to be declared, but instead, this was the result. a rigged fight.
