A few days ago I bought a new laptop (Asus N56VZ).
The wifi-adapter is a Atheros ar9485.

Now I know that this is a well known problem, but I get really poor connection to my wifi even if I sit directly next to it I only get about 1mb/s download.
In my room I have about 100kb/s and with my computer which has wifi too i get about 3mb/s.

Is there any way to fix this issue? I have the newest driver installed right now and I don't really know what to do.

Buy a new wireless card.
