pre-game, I call yorick top and lock in after nobody else calls anything. Then ashe instalocks after saying nothing. Amumu locks in too, so thats jungle and AD sorted.
then skarner and malph both lock in. In-game, skarner waddles towards top, so I give myself to mid. Skarner then turns around and goes bot, while malph goes top instead. I'm yorick mid vs a fucking veigar.
I end up about 2/3/2 while veigar gets high off of first blood and about 20 kills thanks to our jungle amumu. A surrender is called, but I'm having too much fun to say yes. it finishes unsuccessfully 3/2.
We keep pushing mid, but we are still losing. After a failed teamfight, with only me and malph standing, malph walks over to baron and starts hitting it. I decide to help, and we take just long enough to kill it so the entire team takes the buff.
then, as it turns out, having amumu malph and ashe on your team, with yorick dealing out all the damage and skarner pulling out the people who somehow survive, is absolutely fucking devastating.
they surrendered after we constantly slaughtered them.
they will remember yorick mori

Is it me or is Ashe not as good as any other AD carry?

Ashe doesn't scale as hard but her mid game owns bones because of 100% first hit crit with IE

uhm lol she's one of the best late game carries because of ult and constant slow. Her ult is one of the best initiation spells while her E is better than any autoattack steroid because it gives you the ability to constantly attack the target.

Come late game carries like Corki can kill the enemy team while they're cc'd by the tank
Ashe's slow is best during mid game fights where it's generally small skirmishes that actually give you time to chase

Because they aren't that fun compared to many other champions. You seem like my friend who, if he has enough IP, buys every new champ that gets released. But if he doesn't have enough IP, he loses interest for them few days after release.
I guess it's just Riot's constant hyping that makes people think they're amazing or something.

Just read that Riot worked on Jayce for 8 months which is 2-3 months longer compared to other champions

Jayce doesn't even seem that special. I mean he's definitely up there in originality but there are still champs that are more original than him.

corki is good midgame, ashe lategame
corki and ezreal are the only carries that are even remotely decent midgame
ashe is one of the best lategame carries since she has good range and can kite really well and initiate
midgame she has no damage, and all she is is a walking slow and stun
