I got sorta angry when they added skyrim on workshop, kinda wanted it to be a tf2-only thing.

I wonder if there would be a way to hook the indie games up to a related TF2 item as sort of "here's a promo item we also made, take a look at what could be in TF2 if this game is accepted"

Yeah, it felt as when you just realized your wife slept with dovahkiin.

At first you're angry, but then you're like "oh fuck this shit he's dovahkiin"

    I need to go sleep.

I doubt that there will be a built-in method for this until there is a large enough demand for it. But the workaround would be for them to link to one another in the workshop and greenlight description.

Did anyone check did they add any more manifest files in the Pyromania update? I might have missed some because there were 500+ posts a day and 2 threads during the update.

I wonder if we'll get one last Pyromania bug fix tonight or tomorrow. There's just a few more bugs left, and then the update is practically bug free.

Also we'll probably get an update Wednesday. Not that they technically need to, but adding so many items to the store and removing items from backpacks usually brings an update.

They are propably still too busy on Dota 2. I believe there are some problems viewing the Defense.

different teams. TF2 always has a standard staff size of a dozen or so people, so not even the worst Dota 2 bug fixes would change that

Can't this all be done through the schema and item servers though? The ash items could be given the Festive crate treatment and the store, well whatever valve does to make it work.

yea, but it's such a large change, they've never done big changes like that 100% schema.

Usually 100% schema "patches" are little bug fixes like changing the Spy's Nanobalaclava to use his instead of Heavy's, or making the Three Rune Blade use Eyelander sounds.

They haven't really ever added a dozen new items to the shop, plus removed thousands of items out of the system without some sort of patch with it. It also helps aid confusion, if a patch ships that explains the ashes were removed and new items were added to the shop.

Wouldn't really have been selfish if they made a content accepting and delivering system for tf2 only, it would just have been the average thing to do.
Instead they went a step further and added support for other games.

Also I'm excited, I'm going back to work on that android game soon because of this announcement. I'll make sure it has a unique rocket launcher with unique rockets. so we can get a nice rocket launcher   and rocket bodygroups   in tf2

    have you played them?

because according to steam you have zero time clocked on VVVVVV and you don't even own the binding of isaac

As long as they are professional looking and not "programming tutorial examples (Dull sidescrolling shooters)", "shit that looks like lazily-done homebrew (Almost always you can tell easily if a game is indie or not just by looking at the graphics)", "game with a blob as a main character #8572723 (Because I have no character designing talent and blobs are really original, right?)" or "Let me reference as much of my favourite videogames as possible!!! (AKA Nostalgic gamer bait/asslicking)" it's all good

To be fair, VVVVVV was an infuriating game. Nice music though, I was kinda annoyed when Rockcock snubbed the music and didn't even bother listening to it.

I, in addition, hope they nerf the escape plan a bit.
It deals the same damage as the shovel and gives you a speed boost. You don't even need to evaluate whether you should use Escape Plan or Equalizer. Escape plan is the better choice.
It should get the damage nerfed to start from the same base as the Equalizer does.

and to leave the equalizer as a valid option: Let it do shovel damage at full HP, and give it how much damage it USED to do when it first came out when you were at critical HP

Nah, it should be less than shovel damage while at full HP, or else it's pretty much a strict upgrade from the shovel.
