Based on these videos.
Took a shot at the SFM and ended up with this (pardon the inside joke).
So, Heavy Jensen walks into a bar...
Nothing special, first animation:
Max, tell me something, you're the reason I wanted to animate with the source engine :(
This is 2 things: It is a teaser for something to come, and it is also a test of my abilities. I should probably go back and fix a couple of things, but think of this as an alpha.
my first post in this forums, yay! my first video too.
I tried throwing some custom art assets I have into the source filmmaker.
Pretty terrible idea.
IK rigs don't work with any of my character models. And you really don't want to animate without one.
made a poster of this and thought id do a quick skit with it.
Getting back in the saddle with making films.Importing breathing really does add a lot of life into films.
I had an idea, nowhere near finished or scarcely started... Just think is it a good idea to stick with?
I learned how graph editor works. I will always use it from now on.
Frog, how did you get the blood on the Scout?
Someone should re-do this. Basically years before Gabe's Mod this guy somehow got access to a library of motion capture animations (someone posted the library years ago on here too, but I can't remember). It was pretty revolutionary for it's time.
Ahhhh ok, thanks man.
Something quick I made, maybe GMod quality.
Watch in 720p for the full experience.
So well yeah, I had a lot of fun. Animating speech is harder then I thought though.
Made by a friend of mine.
Omfg, best video ever:
Credits to the creator, I didn't make it, just found it on youtube.
Hey guys, you like Men in Black?
Here, have a wip
(Engi's walk animation is a placeholder, don't worry)
Getting the hang of cameras and recording. No custom animations for now.
I had no intention of making it that creepy. But whatever.
Currently making a short, 2-3 minute film, with complete custom content, and yes that model was created specifically for this short. I'm thinking of starting a thread for this, considering that I'm documenting every day I work on it and rendering it each day.
So much for "Not for Public Release"
Edit: I should also mention that there are no facial flexes or bodygroups (she will be wearing goggles) yet.
Did a little bit of mixing with the Graph editor and sequences nothing all that amazing. (Rendered as PNG image sequences btw)
why do i even try
I might continue this, add some more movement maybe.
