I, personally, don't have to win every game, and I would rather take a loss with something unique on a team, then win the same game the same way. I had a game with Sylla who didn't level Spirit Bear because he was weak at micro. I cringed a bit, knowing all the benefits of the bear and how easy it is to control at basic level, but on the end of the day, that was unique game. An hour unlike any other in my total Dota 2 gametime.

Saying that if you don't go odd ball builds or it isn't fun anymore is stupid. I like seeing the "srsbsns" builds because that means I can rest assured that people know what they are doing.

I, personally, do have to win every game because most of the time when people do something "unique" it translates into "retarded". Vlad's on Phantom Lancer. Force Staff on Bloodseeker. Sange and Yasha on Juggernaut. Templar Assassin who never leveled Refraction. Pudge who only got two levels in hook all game. Crystal Maiden who didn't level aura. If I was in that game with Lone Druid I would have given him a fucking thrashing if I didn't see his bear before level 7 because Lone Druid is useless without it. He is ignoring the single most important aspect of the character and that's the fact that you have a second hero without that respawns for free.

So when I defend those "dumbest" ideas I just defend people's will to try things. See how it goes. Even if on paper and in mind it doesn't compute, maybe in-game some weird combination of luck, stupidity, brilliance and human element will make it work.

You know the phrase about the duck? Well, if it looks like a dumb idea it probably is.

It is because he only benefits from the armor aspect of it. If you want armor and a good item for Tidehunter, get a Shiva's. Far more helpful aura from an initiators view, more damage on initiation and more mana.

Been practicing with bot matches with my friend who used to be pretty fucking good at Dota1. We have discovered that switching to Dota2 is quite the leap.

Geez, you sound tense about this.

Sure, Dota is hard to get enough of even without whacky or ineffective builds, but those do add up.

That bear example, that guy did well, despite not having a bear. Yes, entangle could've been godsend, but he alone was dishing out a lot of damage. Could he do more ? Yes. Did he alone decide the outcome of the game ? No.

Not everone even realises that some items can be less effective on different heroes. I for one, for 100 or so first games, had urge to make Perserverance on everyone.

On higher skill levels I bet it's harder to find someone who does stuff like that on purpose, unless in a mood for it, so if you have the knowledge, can recognise what's good and what is not, then I don't see a problem with you just playing on your skill level and not getting irritated by stuff like that.

I for one don't mind so I guess I will stay where I am.

Anything that gets hit by the cleave takes 210% of his attack damage.
175% now since he sold a bfury for Shadow Blade.
