Also Na'vi just made a comeback using Rubick for the first time, against Mousesports of all teams
Sing Sing would use his black hole and Dendi would just steal it right back and turn the whole fight around![]()

If anyone needs an alt-tab guide: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11143213/dot...every-hero.htm
It's a copy of this (http://www.playdota.com/guides/vals-guide-to-every-hero) but I put every hero on 1 page and replaced the DOTA 1 item pictures with DOTA 2 (haven't played DOTA 1 so I wasnt familiar with the icons).
Hm, why is it better to level tombstone as dirge?
If you are, say, soloing with dirge, woudn't it be better to level decay and soul rip early so you can get more harrasing and stay longer in lane?
2 questions about Lanaya, and one is indirectly about Rubick.'
1. Is "Spring Trap" supposed to have range ? In game it's same range as of the placement spell, i.e. 2000 units and any trap further than that won't be affacted by Lanaya using Spring Trap, yet they can still be activated by using their detonation ability.
2. Rubick can steal Psionic Trap without Lanaya casting it, just by stealin the Spring Trap ability (you can use it without any reason and it will give Rubick opportunity to get ultimate and spring trap)?
I am asking this here so that some old-timers can confirm those are bugs/intended, so that dev dota 2 isn't littered with useless threads.
And on topic of Templar Assassin, she seems fun, any stories you guys have with her ?
you dont have the mana to use them at the higher levels earlygame, plus theres usually not enough units around to fully take advantage of high levels of soul rip
New test update today with Nyx, calling it. Both updates will be bundled for the full game tomorrow.
WE CAN DREAM.
Optimism.
Too bad it'll probably be crushed, but you never know![]()
does meld extra damage stacks with crits? (like kunkka shadow blade+ tidebringer+ daedalus)
When exactly should I aim for blink on heroes like tiny, es, brew and tidecounter?
Anyone know who voiced the Pirate Captain announcer pack? I'm fucking positive I've heard that voice somewhere before, in a certain amazing Half Life 2 mod.
PVK II :>
No. They only gave away a free key once, and that was in 2010.
I fucking hate when multiple teammates pick farm-dependant carries and then SUCK LIKE CHEAP WHORES. Holy shit, I did as Witch Doctor better than Magina and Lancer. Fuck these people, next time they go 2 vs 5 in teamfights I am reporting them.
they weren't russians
Also, there're no Russian servers as I see.
I haven't played TF2 in like 2 years so that kind of makes sense.
I'm still hoping for one. (Or maybe a way to get one from the summer sale event? Like with the tickets that you could get DLC with.)
Upgraded boots and wand. Maybe Bracer or Vanguard also if you have the farm.
You better be not blinking and surviving fights than blinking in and exploding right away.
On cyborgmatt's blog:
Of course it's the fucking game where I have to leave for dinner, lol
Summer Shades for all heroes.
Between 10 and 20 minutes normally if you're mid (Tiny, Shadow Shaman, Brewmaster), but on Earthshaker and Tidehunter you'll probably end up getting it a bit later, 20-25 minutes maybe.
Last I checked half of those guides were truly terrible. They very frequently have one or two builds to rule them all, which is quite frankly idiotic. Different roles are not accounted for, let alone different team strategies and specific items for some uses, or if the items do show up on the guide there is no explanation as to when you are supposed to consider it.
Actually the same can be said for most playdota guides. It's almost always setup around a single item and skill build, and alternatives are seldom even mentioned, let alone actually discussed.
i needed dagon on my sven to get more killing in
Might sound dumb, but why are there two spring trap abilities?
one is a subability that springs the closest trap to you, the other is an ability the trap has that springs it
So i finally got a invite to this game.
Any good characters for new players?
EDRAR vs M5.
I hope I'm not the only one who loves when they change the order.
Lich
DONT PICK SNIPER OR HUSKAR
May i ask why?
Dont forget to read the OP and play against bots until you get the hang of the game
Looks like DARER is actually playing Rubick correctly, maybe he won't just be food
Ignoring the first blood
Edited:
ok I take that back
This game is the reason I spell "defence" as "defense" now.
Skeleton king
Dont pick sniper because you will die a lot, it's simply unavoidable. As sniper you have no health and no escape mechanism. Idk why not huskar, he's easy as hell if you ask me but I guess he is a carry so yeah don't pick him until you're good at farming.
Lich is definitely a good pick, as are skeleton king, sven, and zeus.
Lich, Lion, Tidehunter, Sven and Axe are all newbie-friendly.
Stay the hell away from carries and Invoker until you get used to the game's mechanics.
I guess that i should stick this to my head, am i right?
It's common sense not to play invoker until you have good knowledge of dota 2, just take a look at his skills, speaks for itself.
Rubick, Invoker, Lone Druid and Shadow Fiend are all starter friendly heroes!
Add dark seer.
Edited:
Sandking is my favorite character to juke with.
running up a hill then running back down it and all the way back just as the enemy gets to the hill is amazing, so fucking funny when it takes them 3 seconds to notice
-snip- didn't look hard enough
