I couldn't imagine playing Kunkka without either a fast Urn or Perseverance, if not both.
Edit: Also makes him a better farmer, for the heavenly Daed + Shadow + Rapier(Or for pussies like me, Heart.) combo.
i know its usually dumb to rush it on carries, but its a situational thing
ofc if you can actually farm the first few minutes in lane, getting preservernce instead of vlads is viable to jungle with
I'd say Vlads is a possibility on AM but only if your team has the worst time of their life and you have to catch up quickly, even with pretty meh items.
If you go like "Oh I can deal with this guy later" and wait even 5 minutes, then it's hard to shut him down.
If you shut him down and have for example, a Faceless Void farming properly you will win, a CK, phantom assassin, lifestealer, any hero that does loads of physical damage.
Also add Beastmaster, the amazing counter against lycan, Chen and Enchantress are the perfect selections to shit on his jungle farm, etc, etc.
You seen the competitive seen? He has been squeezing out so much lately and he has lost almost every single game. People just know how to counter him now. Its the eternal process in DOTA, some heroes are added and they are instantly banned because nobody wants to deal with them until they perfect their way to counter them, after that, they dont mind letting lycan squeeze out because they are no longer afraid of it.
Like I said, you just need good players and good teamwork in order to defeat him. Hes strong but hes just as strong as any hero that isnt countered properly.
And if needed, just pick another pubstomp hero, bloodseeker, and just ult him. They'll either have to stay still in a teamfight or risk the health loss.
destroyed a tryhard earthshaker dragon knight lane as 5 fps darkseer
8 minute vanguard
easiest hero 2012
Not sure if PL is a legit counter or not or if I'm just good with him, but every time I play Phantom Lancer I can counter lycan once I have diffusal blade extremely easily.
so i just had a game against quas wex invoker mid as luna
i said fuck this, got morbid mask, started jungling. kept dying in first 20 minutes, didnt have helm till 25 or so
ended game with a full build and 527 cs. oops. guess they forgot luna's easily one of the best farmers in the game, especially late game!!!!! i'd get low in a fight, pop satanic, and get full health.
entire enemy team was p much 100% ban/pick heros :/ mortred, tidehunter, enigma, invoker, viper. got shit on. hard.
Fuck, so many brazilians. I was playing chen, every time a tower fell and my team (bounty hunter and night stalker to be precise, we also had phantom assassin and bloodseeker which was an absolute shitfest) would shit on me "CHEN NOOB" when they were right next to the fucking tower. Every time i didn't save their life with an ult they would have a fucking rage fest even though it wasn't ready. I couldn't do anything about this pushing shit, he would just go PUSH MID and then i head to mid, then DEF TOP and then i head to top, then he talks to his butt buddy nightstalker in portuguese and then DEF BOT OMG CHEN NOOB. What i could do was purchase a scepter to soothe his needs for heals, and when my ult failed to save his life he said CHEN NOOB WHY U NO ULTI?
I used a fucking mekansm as well but you still died. Stop trying to fucking run in and tank everything. Jesus fucking christ they think they can 1v5.
Then i played another game as storm spirit with some ruskie luna who started intentionally feeding, and every time she died she said "storm spirit noob all report"
Just what the fuck is wrong with these people.
Mortred and Viper are banned and picked in competitive?
Haven't seen a Viper in a competitive game since like the last International.
so kunkka with daedalus has 181 damage while battlefury has 165 damage, minor so far but important
tidebringer adds 60 damage and shadow blade adds 150 damage, so the initial hit off daedalus does 391 damage without a crit while battlefury, with 135% cleave, does 506.25
however, if you get a crit on daedalus, and this is a 25% chance, you will do 977.5 damage
most kunkkas, by the time they have shadow blade and daedalus, will have a good deal more than 100 damage without the bonus damage from daedalus and the more damage you have the better it scales for daedalus compared to battlefury
two daedalus give you a 47.5% chance to crit on your tidebringer hit
and at that point that's 47.5% chance of instantly killing any support and perhaps any carries as well, let's remember that cleave damage is not reduced by armor but only armor type
meanwhile battlefury will consistently do high, but mediocre, damage when compared to daedalus crits
and let's not forget that battlefury's cleave radius is significantly smaller than tidebringer's
that additive crit will only hit units in a small area
with all of this information i will pick daedalus over battlefury on kunkka every time
(radius on battlefury is 225, less than half of kunkka's 500, meaning a significantly smaller area given how cleave is done)
Had a conversation with someone else about this so I copy and pasted, excuse the formatting
