well this seems like a good roleplay to hang out and chat in.
what i mean is each class has their own job but there's lots of downtime it seems (especially with security) so you chat with other players and mingle waiting for something to happen that you can attend to.
is that about right?

It is pretty laid back.
If you find it boring, you're not taking the initiative to make it any better. Serious RP is what you make it.

Checked the server out earlier, pretty nifty and chill like the others said. Would any you guys know when and if there are peak hours on the server?

It got worse since it switched back to DarkRP. Now its mostly empty because real roleplayers see it and go "Nope, dark rp, not really serious just a bunch of little minge kids". I do not like the switch, and I think it should go back to a real RP gamemode.

The other gamemode was a bit broken and far too much hassle whereas this gamemode gives us much more breathing space. We did have a map update ready but it will not work on the current gmod due to the entity limit. We are gonna have to lower the amount or wait for Gmod 13.

I really want to play this with people, but there's almost never anyone on. Shame, really - this is a great idea for RP. But I still get purple-black errors on some objects, even from the FastDL. Is there something I can do to fix it?
As well as this, when selecting the head models to use, they're glitched out.

The map is almost good to go, gamemode situation isn't too good yet but i'll work on that.

I don't suppose you'll be using assets from Black Mesa Source in an upcoming revision of the map?
Obv. the version you're using when gmod 13 comes out will be using the stuff from the other maps, but, like, the version after next?
If nothing else you could use the NPCs (when they're eventually ported to Gmod) so people without HL:S aren't being assailed by errors during resonance cascades.

I'm gonna ask BMS if it's allowed, If it is then I'm going to retexture the map and use the vending machines and stuff. As for more map details the brush limit has been brought to its knees so no more can be done. Maybe i'll work on a brand new map.

I think they said something about not caring whether people port the stuff (weapons, npcs, etc) to gmod but I can't find where.
A brand new map would be awesome too.

i have some very weird problems when trying to run this map

-spawns outside the map...
tested in gmod12 and gmod13

That will happen because the map is designed to work on only our server. I also found out we can use Black Mesa Source content as long as we give credit so that's all good. I'll get doing that wedensday night aswell start work on a new map maybe.

Sweet,My friend just got half life 2, and i think he would like this.
On the other hand, I'm pretty sure he will be depressed seeing all those damn Fail Trolls.

Server is great. I love the new UI that they added to it. I believe it doesnt run DarkRP anymore and they put in a new, bigger map.

The server is back online but due to the amount of plonkers joining you're required to apply to be whitelisted. This is quite simple and you only need to write a few things using the format.

Hey, does anyone have the Models, and things? I have all models as errors and the reflections are sometimes pink. Also all the menus (job selecting, buying stuff) are pink and black. If anyone can help would be awesome :). Already asked on the BMRP forums. Said it will be hard because i have a really hard time Dling from them.
