I haven't gotten it dirty yet, but basically it has no "basin" It's a solid aluminum plate and the keys stick up from there. So theoretically I could tilt the board 90 degrees and all crumbs fall out.

Does anyone know a good unlimited Canadian internet provider?
Eastlink has been great in my experience, though it's not exactly cheap ($63 for the 20/1 package).
(Ignore "Persona", Eastlink bought out that company years ago)

I hear TekSavvy is good, though I don't have any experience with them. They do cable and DSL.

Vianet is decent and offers Fibre in some areas of my city, though they're a pretty small company. They resell a few services: Cable, DSL, wireless.

Bell FibreOP is also rolling out in my city soon, though again it's not very widespread.

Great. The guy in charge of Macs here at the center wants to update every system to Mountain Lion. On the 25th. When it comes out. WITH ABSOLUTELY NO COMPATIBILITY TESTING. This will be hundreds of systems.

The woman on the phone told me that they don't stock GTX295s anymore and the 9800GTX is the "closest thing in performance that they can offer me".

    Are they high?

Surely they could just give you a newer midrange card?

I already ordered it on the 5th but I went to looks back today to see if it was dispatched (waiting on the mobo to come into stock) and it said that. Would be interesting if something good came out of this (unlikely).

Excuse me for the quality of the video, bad lighting in this room. The buzzing noise was coming from my speakers.
Tried playing Half-Life on lowest settings, 640x480, and as usual, the card died after about 30m of gameplay. Temps were 71 C at the time of the crash, so I do think this card is about to die very soon. Note that I experienced the same thing over and over again before the cap blew up, this just confirmed my theory that the crashes have nothing to do with temperature or putting settings too high (even though that shouldn't cause any problems other than FPS drop).

well it's mostly a matter of "what other things can this money go to"

if you explicitly saved up money for it, I don't think you'll regret it

It's not like it will be a bad machine. I'm sure you'll love it. I'd love one, but I don't have a use for a laptop. I'd much more likely put my money into a powerful work station like I have now and then go with cheaper lighter mobile devices.

Uni work, internet surfing and stuff like that. Also, some casual gaming. I'm thinking if I spend the money on the MBPr then it should last me throughout the 4 years at uni.

Oh yeah and it would be replacing my desktop.

I've been saving up for a laptop and all the powerful windows one look ugly and massive. I've never owned a mac before but I find it very appealing.

I can get the macbook for 1528 with the student discount.

    EDIT:

When I say 'casual gaming' I mean I would probably only play CS:GO when that comes out. Not sure if it works on OS X but then I can always use bootcamp.
