People are probably more comfortable with big burly men protecting their beautiful red white and blue rather than a pack of sissies watching rainbow ponies.
Just saiyan.

I know nothing but probably because that's a dark one that kinda fits. It's not a bright-ass reference to a children's tv show. And how do you know just because he's wearing it that it's okay for him to wear it and he hasn't gotten complaints?
Not sure I've ever seen bands of grown men throwing pokeballs and reciting stuff from the game/show. When I was a kid though I think I brought a toy pokeball to daycare once and some obese kid took it and whipped it at a concrete wall while yelling "PIKACHU, GO". What the fuck man.
Agree'd, I doubt many of them actually have a sound state of mind to begin with; For example, I have a friend who changed his first and middle name to Fluttershy and Brony, and never stops talking about the fucking show.
this is like a juggalo soldier painting his face like a clown
Edited:
seriously though it's 50/50 funny/sad that some of you are defending this
I'd say grown men who watch shows intended for little girls are the sissies
If I was in a squad with a dumbshit with a rainbow sticker because he wants to let the world know he loves a show designed for little girls I'd be fucking pissed. He'd be a detriment to the safety of my fucking squad because that shit for brains is putting a BRIGHT RAINBOW on CAMO.
Fluttershy Brony [lastname]
HE SO ISN'T GOING TO REGRET THIS DECISION
MLP WILL BE ON FOREVER
they're soldiers. if they weren't big burly men, they wouldn't have made it through training, nor would they be soldiers in the first place.
you don't get pacifists joining the Marines, do you?
Edited:
they aren't allowed to wear the patches when they're deployed. it's just for the convention.
i seriously hope you're just making this up
or atleast over exaggerating
we're talking about an online/virtual username right
RIGHT
I wish I was; And I was wrong, it was his middle and last name he changed into that.
There's a fan club for practically everything. Why does it being MLP make it such a danger?
at least we now know your unconditional fear of fandom is deeply rooted in your childhood
whatever makes them happy :)
Except this particular instance is not in line with military guidelines and regulations; Thusly, they are not allowed to do this.
I don't know bout you guys but I would not want to mess with these bronies
Is every single one of your posts some nationalistic British post?
Out of regs. OUT OF REGS. OUT. OF. REGS!
The pokemon craze was mainly focused within its specific target audience, the biggest reason older people are into it is because of nostalgia. It started as a videogame and it was something unique when it came out, so it's popularity makes complete sense. All the merch including card games and such strongly appealed to its target audience as well. Add to that the fact there wasn't really a brony equivalent for pokemon where fans would treat the whole thing like a sort of cult, and you can't really compare the two
then why is which show it is that they're watching relevant in the slightest? the headline should be "soldiers wearing patches against regulations", not "OH FUCK SOLDIERS ENJOY MLP RIP MASCULINITY"
Can't you understand it would be grayed out?
Our flag has red on it and they dull it out, why can't they.
Your treating it like they would be running around with a rainbow on them.
We learned not to do that in 1776.
Because adding patches that are not official are against regulations?
Because it was a unauthorized sign, by a brony, reflecting something in regards to it, that was added to a uniform? And second off; Why are you asking me? I didn't start this thread.
This is like a gay soldier putting a rainbow patch on his sleeve.
Seriously though it's 50/50 funny/sad that some of you are offended by this.
"sensationalist headlines"
You are obnoxious about everything you like?
"OH WOW THESE GUYS LIKE SOMETHING THAT I DON'T LIKE AND THEY'RE IN THE ARMY, I WILL FUCKING KILL MYSELF"
You're all no better than the fandom itself, for Christ's sake. You all need to go and take a good long hike if this shit really gets to you.
NEXT UP: SOLDIER CARVES PONY INTO STOCK OF WEAPON; FREE GUNS SHIPPED TO EVERY US CITIZEN FOR MASS SUICIDE
what I'm saying is, flipping out about it being MLP is totally unecessary. people are angry at the wrong thing.
honestly if you get angry about MLP (in either the love or hate respect) you need to go the fuck outside for a while
you know that's not literal, right?
besides, there's sensationalist, then there's just plain missing the point of the story. it being MLP will not affect their ability to do their job; if it did, they would not still be in the army.
He supports the Conservative party so his views roughly have the same bearing as a Daily Mail readers.
That's a rather bad example/counterpoint/whatever. He'd get a bollocking from his CO if he decided to carve shit onto his gun; none of the equipment a soldier is issued belongs to them, and thus they aren't allowed to do anything they please with them, especially not their weapon.
DADT needs to be brought back. We need manly straight, white, Christian men fighting. Not sissies that just want to fuck each other in horse masks on the front line.
Romney 2012. God bless America.
You do know that this is just for the convention, right? They'd be dumbshits if they go out there wearing bright rainbow patches.
OH NVM, they're already dumbshits because THEY LIKE SOMETHING YOU DON'T
I don't know how much you know about the military but the very first thing you learn is that you as an individual are worth less than dog shit and the military structure as a whole is worth far more than you, the one and only call you are allowed to your parents you have to address them as sir and ma'am, and instead of using 'I' you use 'this private'
sorry if some couple of thousands of years of refining military doctrine slightly outweigh your opinion
Oh god, please tell me that's not his legal name, PLEASE!
It can be literal or not, depending on whether the OP feels it's fit or not.
My point in starting this thread wasn't to discuss the patch, it was to start a shitstorm about MLP and ride it.
(User was banned for this post ("admitted the thread was only made to start shitstorm" - daijitsu))
Pretty much, but primarily a fervent far-righter.
It is; And it seems to be holding at the same mental level as all bronies I have met to this date. Hardly surprising IMO.
How utterly bizarre. Doesn't that get dropped once the recruit gets out of boot camp?
lmao 'refined military doctrine'
