That probably means the developer is laying the groundwork for the Dawnguard DLC, though a formal date hasn't been given.
    Here's hoping.

I really want Bethesda to release a DLC or something with all or most of the ideas they had with the "Week of ideas" or whatever it was at the end. The seasons are what I really want to see.

It seems to me that they're beginning to do that incrementally. One update released horseback combat and magic killcams. Dawnguard adds Vampire Lords and Werewolf and Vampire skill trees.

Don't know why they are bothering with beta patches. The last patch they released was exactly as the same as the "beta" version of it. They just released the beta patch as public despite the fact it was riddled with bugs.

I'm saying that the patch had a beta period to test for bugs before it was launched but Bethesda went ahead and released it anyway without even fixing the bugs.

Maybe they didn't know about it.

The point of a beta is to receive responses from the people who use it. Post on their forums or e-mail them about it.

In a sense think of it like the minecraft prerelease. They release code before hand probably to get the mod community a taste and then release it when people are basically forced to do it.

The beta patches for Skyrim are optional afterall.
