"Welcome to The Horizon Project. We are a dedicated group of software developers intent on answering the question "What does software look like after The Cloud?" Our goal is to to create an internet centric software platform that uses both the server and the client to their maximum potential.
The Horizon Project is a software development framework with a design inspired by the .NET Framework and built on the C++0x Final standards. The Horizon Project will be a radical departure from traditional C++ libraries and will function as a complete reimagination of how we think about native software development. The goal of the Horizon Project is to allow developers to easily port their applications from one platform to another by creating a uniform API that abstracts away the underlying operating system. This allows developers to focus on developing their software while avoiding the painful implementation details of C++ and retaining the performance of native code.
We are currently in the early stages of building the community and planning what capabilities the Horizon Platform will have. We are also working on developing the basic structure of the framework in preparation for the commencement of primary system development."

It also covers a lot of other problems in contemporary software.
