I don't know this company well, because I live in the north, the only thing I've heard of them from is that they used to fund PBS shows which I watched a lot as a kid.

I'm just saying that if we're going to get upset over Chik-Fil-A's anti-gay agenda (It has the right to be anti-gay, even though we don't agree with it, due to free speech. It works both ways, even if their ideas that are protected are bigoted and awful.) then there should be headlines blowing up over every other corporation that supports bad things with the money it makes 24/7 like this thing with Chik-Fil-A has. A vast majority of corporations support things that are awful in some way or another, be it through direct funding or some other means, but it seems only Chik-Fil-A matters right now.

To be fair, I believed it was more of an assumption based on the member countries of OPEC and the fact that most of them base their law off of Sharia law.
Ok, maybe I went a bit too far ahead of myself, and I do see your point. However, I still believe that if OPEC is truly anti-gay (an assumption, mind you), then we shouldn't exclude them from any protest, economic or otherwise. Although economic protest against an organization like OPEC would be incredibly difficult, there are other forms of protest against them you could do. Of course, that's assuming they're anti-gay at all.

Even if the OPEC argument can't be backed due to my being unable to find any real evidence right now, OPEC can be substituted with any number of other corporations that support anti-gay movements, both in the United States and abroad.
My point is why is Chik-Fil-A, out of all the corporations that have intolerant religious roots, being so vehemently harangued? It seems minute in comparison to so many other corporations' terrible actions, but of course all of those issues are just ignored or people simply say "oh nothing can be done about them."

Which is why I'm not citing it and why I partially retracted my argument on the grounds of me not having any real statistics and only the idea that OPEC's member countries are anti-gay, which OPEC's incomes supports. i.e. I'm admitting I don't have any real evidence.

People being apathetic to this situation is why it happens in the first place.

By paying for their food, you are in fact supporting Chick Fil-A which funds the organizations that actually take action against gay rights, which is very bad.

So I was pretty much set on asking this chick out last semester. We had had 3 classes together across two semester and she lived in the same dorm hall that I did. I took too long, and the semester ended. I was still going to try as soon as classes started again.
