I can't rate comments like this. I agree that it's a great movie, but it was received rather well by both and the critics and audiences alike.

I'm probably the only one here who actually liked James Cameron's Avatar...
I found it moderately enjoyable and I think most people liked it, too. The problem is just that there was a LOT of hype and it really didn't live up to it. People were saying it was the best movie ever and shit.

    Edited:

Terminator Salvation is the only one that really pops into my mind. I really enjoyed it and I was hoping for a 5th Terminator movie. They could have made it better but I still really enjoyed it.

In a way, Avatar. The theatrical version was a great action flick, but the story really didn't follow up. For a movie that's been dreamed of by Cameron for so long, he sure as hell didn't work all that much on the scenario, which is really poor and essentially just a knock-off of famous movies such as pocahontas, dancing with wolves, casanova, etc.
The Director's Cut was a bit better storywise, thanks to the addition of a bunch of scenes that actually try developing the characters. Overall, the movie was pretty dumb, but the gorgeous visuals kinda make it a guilty pleasure for me.

Inglorious Bastards also seems to get a lot of hate, while the movie seemed very entertaining to me. I don't have particularly high tastes in movies, so most of the time I find myself liking a dumb movie with little to no plot, the few that is being filled with plot holes, while everyone else hates it because they can't seem to simply enjoy the sheer stupidity of a movie, always looking for the dense narrative and intricate plot.

The number 23, starring Jim Curry. I actually liked this film a lot.

American Beauty. At least, the rest of my family hates it. I can understand why (the paedophilic plotline), but I think that the fact that at the end of the movie    he chooses not to be with her and finds true beauty among his family    is a greater argument against that aspect of his character than anything else I could come up with.

the american remake of it, you have to admit the plot and villain makes you think it was actually a disney movie

    Inception.

Everyone in my family hated it because they found it to be too "confusing"

Princess Mononoke is one of my favorite films, but I haven't met a single other person who's seen it, probably because it's anime.

But it's one of those acceptable anime films because it's by Hayao Miyazaki.
