Damn. Well shit, it's going to be a massive eyesore to see people walking around with that set painted pink, lime, and white.

original shotgun is complete
who wants to unwrap and texture this because I certainly don't want to
If they were able to do so, they would have made the Hot Dogger paintable![]()

I think we should stop whining about the pink and lime paints. They're here to stay. And personally there are some hats that I think look good with them.
'round these parts (as in basically just my city and some towns around us) we have these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_hot
are you aloud to use multiple objects in an item when submitting
Pyromancer's mask is NOT one of them.
holy fuck that looks so good
No offense meant, but I do not consider your judgment on the TF2 artstyle to be very reliable.
also found the old engineer reloader model
None taken. I actually wholeheartedly agree with this. I'm just saying I like how certain hats look painted lime or pink.
I keep posting this: http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/541782282409938920/D585890D7B9A3CA13FEB72EA9C5D926046C488BF/
In other news, OP updated.
honestly, it's really not. Or maybe I'm just weird. I never liked them, and nobody in my family eats them except my dad, and he just does because he feels like he has to being a native to this region
It just looks really appetizing

I don't dislike lime and pink on their own, as colors. I have nothing at all against lime, and while I admittedly usually find pink rather ugly it can be pretty damn neat in the right context; I'm currently reading an experimental and soul-crushingly cynical modern novel with a deep pink cover, and it's one of the most brilliant design choices I've seen.
However, those two colors don't fit the TF2 palette. Like, at all. Ever. I have literally never seen a pink or lime hat that is esthetically compatible with the environment and characters surrounding it.
Urrggh.
I know that the Neon Annihilator was rumored to be made paintable and that a short video was created to show it but I cannot for the life of me find it again. Does anyone have the link?
Sarc did an amazing rendition of this idea if you're looking for more direction with the design side

hang on Psyke, the NA has secondary team coloring on the wires... so, this whole paint thing, even though it's not happening, would have really done a huge disservice to the item...
I said ages back the paint was dropped
the flicker + breakable crit model are staying though
and the fixed phy
I was thinking of going for horror this year
but I doubt any of these concepts are worth the time.
I would love to see a RIG for engie. Even if it's just the helmet.
Ah, gotcha.
what ever happened to those saftey straps for demo?
they were like, paintable or something i dont remember
I know the paint was dropped (I noted such in my sentence), however, the very concept that Valve would ignore not only crit-glow but secondary team coloring scares me
I hate to keep posting this around but the reason I am is because I've gotten little help with my project and don't want to make a thread about it.
Anyways, I'm following this tutorial but I've been having troubles with steps 6 and 7 under weapons in the Q&A. I've extracted both Pain Train and Back Scratcher models and positioned them correctly but these are the problems I'm having:
1. All of the Pain Train's positions are not 0.
2. I cannot see nor select the Back Scratcher's weapon bones on the model. I see weapon_bone when I check vertex groups.
3. How would I assign the Back Scratcher's bones to the Pain Train and use weight-paint mode to see if the bones were assigned correctly?
Here's an image of my progress so far:
All of this is done in Blender by the way. If anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated.

right lets try to make a 1950's style rig suit
maybe something resembling a welders helmet and old sentry parts
Can anybody try their hand at making engie's toolbox replace the pyro's head bodygroup?
pls
Yay :)
Edit:
Hawf I might reconsider what you said about your rigsuit, so we could team up? probably going to need a more capable texturer than I am though
Cant agree harder.
Lets make this happen, we can do it bro.
Someone already made a RIG suit, but a 50s style will be interesting
gun concepts
Awesome, I loved Dead Space :3
Please don't forget a helmet. And his shoulders could use some parts too.
HE DOESN'T EVEN LOOK LIKE ENGINEER ANY MORE
Edited:
Seems a little bit more 50's sci-fi
what secondary team coloring exists? also it's possible to keep secondary team coloring you know, two separate .vtfs will still work.
oh wait on the wires? he said the paintable part would have a separate vmt, so. Also, if I'm honest, wires are not nearly important enough to worry about their team yellow.
I assume rigging was pain in the ass... right?
