Well that should make a point.
Looks like their protest has collapsed
Should have asked for better bridges
"Hate to say I told you so..."
Looks like the bridge protested to the amount of people on it as well.
Why is this funny? Oh wait, it is because it didn't happen in the US and most of the users here are from 'AMURICA!
I can see how it is funny, in a dark humour sort of way. It will probably lighten it up a bit if everyone is found and the injuries are just minor bruises and that sort, but if anybody drowned or was seriously hurt I don't think it's something that should be laughed at rather than sympathized for.
The image of it all made me lol
Though it's sad that people got injured, and a path of travel has been disabled, it does make a point that better roads are needed in India; it's almost like a "see what we mean?" kinda thing to hammer the point home.
The definition of irony.
this is just self-fulfilling prophesy, anyone who knows anything about India would know the bridges are shitty
fuck alanis morrisette!
India's infrastructure IS pretty shit, but it's mainly due to how densely populated the place is. Not only do they get rolling power outages but there are far too many cars on roads where there really shouldn't be, waste facilities are broken and outdated, transport of goods is generally unhygienic and unsafe, all while houses are practically falling down.
India needs to get on their shit.
So America's infrastructure is shit? I'm not sure where you're getting that notion but thousands of cars go over most bridges every day in Murrica.
Every time I go north there's at least 300 cars on one bridge, feels safe.
Wouldn't be a laughing matter
to be fair that's a lot of people on that bridge
If people died, it would be less funny. Seeing as they were merely maimed, it's funny.
Seriously, stop being an asshat and trying to force your backwards political values on a thread that has nothing to do with it.
Also, considering everyone is okay, I think it's safe to say it's funny.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony which is at the core of most humor. In this case they were a victim of something that they were trying to improve.
From another perspective, one might think the source of the irony is the fact that they were specifically protesting road quality, when bridge quality should've apparently been their concern.
Most things don't happen in America, and most things aren't funny, as your post would indicate. You might want to consider a revision.
I think they should stay off the bridge that just collapsed...
we have trains that cross wooden bridges very often non of them have collapsed and they weigh several tons
honestly i don't know how you can compare our bridges to india i mean look at that shit
their bridges look like this >| | |
our bridges are like this > /\/\/\
they have large unsupported areas on their bridge which from that image is probably what caused the collapse
but then again they have boats that go under that bridge
and american bridges are pretty shitty but it can't be compared to india
