Head to darksoul's thread where he's letting people have server space for free; I've been testing my gamemode (though I've dropped my unannounced gamemode from the GCC) on one of his servers, and have found the included fastdl service to be great.
i think we only have like 2-5 gamemodes which isnt much guys..... this was supposed to be a huge endeavor =p but hey .. we got some amazing work ... was hopeing for the plink but he dropped also... cant wait to test audiomelon =p lawl =p
I have to say, I'm pretty surprised at how many have dropped out. I hope we get a few surprise gamemodes at the last minute.
At what time exactly do you cut off for submissions?
I'm pretty relaxed about it. As long as it's submitted before I check my email on Friday, which would probably be about 3pm EST.
So... What happens if only two people enter the contest?
What count's as submitted? Do we just have to post it here or PM you or email you? I'm back in, leaving my gamemode as it is with the original sounds.

I dropped my idea out because it wasn't rhythm related enough to justify constant effort to meet the deadline. I'll probably post in WAYWO about it tomorrow.

A small 8-slot server has been set up at 188.8.131.52:27055 for public play.

Both zips extract into garrysmodbeta/garrysmodbeta, or orangebox/garrysmodbeta if you're on a server.
There are a lot of missing gameplay elements that I haven't put in, probably because I was too busy/lazy. Only a scoring system and the basic circle-clicking that all osu! players love. Code isn't exactly the cleanest since I wrote most of this during early-morning hours and cared not for readability. :c
Here is mine its called UCombat.
Planned were powerups wich trigger ingame events or give you more speed, health, strength, etc
and that was the part where i wanted to involve the rythm. If you pick it up everyone should hear the ravebreak sound and the one who moves at least should die or dancebattle or playing guitar hero with the hp.
It should be a funny not very realistic combat where you can add powerups for your server and weapons and such but i just got a skill point system, money when you kill someone, weapons menu to buy them, teams and team specific playermodels, manager team for admins(was planned that the manager places the powerups and spawnpoints ingame), a new hud.
f3 = skillmenu(skills will take effect when you respawn)
f4 = team selection
f7 = weapon menu (buy, equip(!), drop or sell)
f1 = spectator
scores are saved for the team you are in if you move to another team your score is still in the other team and in the new team its 0 until you kill someone and if you move back to the old team your score will reset again to the value with which you left it.
and bodypart specific damage and effect:
body = 100% and no effect
head = insta kill on weak skilled players
arms = 60%(i think) and SHOULD decrease the players accuracy and if its 0 the player cant climb anymore
legs = 60% and the players speed and jumppower decreases
the money is[FONT=Arial, Verdana, sans-serif][COLOR=#000000] provisorily indicated as number above the health and armor bar[/COLOR][/FONT]
climbing: look at a wall and hold space if youre falling and holding jump youre arms take damage and you become slower until you climb up if you fall on the groud your legs will be damaged
also planned was a radar to detect nearby enemies and teammates and radar should take some time to scan a player depending on the planned stealth skill
also hp and armor regenerated if the regeneration delay is exceeded.
I know its more a combat and honestly i overread the rhythm part at first but i found a way to include it but i had no real time/desire to finish my gamemode within the deadline but ill continue working on it
