Unlike the E3 presentation where it looks scripted, you now get to see how scripted it really is.

Anyone else thinks that it'd be more awesome if two the main characters were gender-bent?

The possibilities could be endless, and a whole slew of cliches could be avoided.

The way I see it is, the play through will be similar to Uncharted's, so no free roam. Except there will be loads of ways to complete each level, so not strictly linear.

    I certainly won't buy a PS3 for this one, so I'll hope for a silent Let's Player.

I have a feelings this is going to be linear.
Looks like it'll be linear with Gates, like what Half-Life 2 or Crysis 2 did. Get from A to B, and inbetween there's a somewhat more open space. When you reach Gate B, there's a linear path to the next segment.

Watching this video should wash away any doubt that it is dynamic. He took on the same scenario in two different ways and both presented two completely different experiences that felt "scripted"

There are a lot more reasons to own a PS3 than just naughty dog games.

Free online multiplayer for one. And you aren't barraged with advertisements as soon as you turn on your PS3.

It does look like there's some stuff baddies can use against you, like smashing your head against stuff. Regardless, I think it looks really neat, and I don't have much a problem with a game being scripted. HL + HL2 and it's episodes were all scripted, linear, and they were a blast.

Well, the game says she was born after the apocalyptic events that caused this, so that'd cause at least some degree of being desensitized to stuff like that, even then she seems a bit freaked out by the more graphic stuff, like people killed by head shots and long dead corpses and what-not.

Why do people always say this as a bad thing? The Half-life's were linear and I'm sure it's one of your favorite games, as it's everyone's. The reason these games are linear is because it makes it a lot more plot-driven, and to give it more polish and attention to detail.

Thing is, I get that with my PC. It might cost a bit more to assemble, but the hardware's worth it. How much are PS3's going for nowadays? I should get one for the games that are exclusive.
