    It's not that I don't know how to torrent, some people just don't want to.

    EDIT: And yes, my ISP is strict on these sort of things.

    I guess theoretically. Good luck though as they make extensive use of DirectX, GDI and MFC.

    There were linux files all the way back in the L4d1 demo, it isn't any breaking news I guess...But it is interesting that they were in the 2007 source I suppose.

    I do agree with you that it looks familiar but a friend of mine on steam was in that video and has screenshots to prove it. It is a use of the leaked code.

    Everything related to Linux in this SDK is used for compiling the dedicated server. Nothing new about that at all.

    If you mean them firing through portals, not yet, this is basically just the portal code put into a mod, I plan to try and get them more portal aware next,

    Foundry is just an entity editor, it's not like it's completely Hammer in-engine

    I know this. During the TWP Contest this year I managed to totally forget to add a Portal Gun.

    I was on holiday, and had to add the entity to my map via Remote Desktop on my Tablet over a patchy 3G system. You have no idea how long that took - especially since I had to compile it and then send it to a friend to build worldmodel and cubemaps as that wouldn't work via RDP. If I had Foundry, I could have, as far as I'm aware, added the Portal Gun to the already compiled map. Would have been SO much easier...

    Edited:

    edit4:

    CToolFrameworkInternal::LoadToolsFromLibrary: Unable to load 'tools/foundry.dll'
    could not load tools.foundry.dll

    If you compile it against (Dar)winelib you can make a port in a few days.

    You would have the whole thing compiled under linux/mac but have a library to support the DirectX, GDI and MFC calls.

    Its not perfect but its already a step better then running the tools under wine/vm.

    Foundry won't load with ASW because they're different engines. The Foundry that already comes with ASW works just fine.
