The important part of my statement was down to a T. Usually he goes through every little part of the show with a fine hair comb and explains how and why he did each bit.
    What didnt he explain?

    Edited:

Hypnosis could exist, I'm not denying it. I've not seen proof either way, though, and the articles I have read suggest hypnosis is more of a psychological thing, where when you know you're being hypnotised, you act as though you are (kind of like a placebo effect)
That is why if Steven WASN'T an actor, he'd not be expecting hypnosis and would, rather than falling sleep, give Darren a confused stare as he put his hand on his head

    Edited:

I'm not sure if you're being serious or if you're missing my point: Why do you think Darren would tell the truth when millions of pounds are on the line for him? Of course he's going to make stuff up if it means he'd become loaded!
Scientific proof/articles is what I'm looking for. Otherwise it means nothing more than opinions, estimates and guesses
His book explains what he does and the scientific logic behind it such as ideo movement, and if that doesnt satisfy you, dole out some money on something here http://scholar.google.com/scholar?hl...1%2C5&as_sdtp=

How fucked up would it be if Derren hynotized Steve right after he went downstairs to see his family and woke him up in the hospital again
Me imagining that was quite hillarious. Thanks for the mental image

    What didnt he explain?
The exact way in which he caused hypnosis
The triggers he used to make it happen    even over the phone
The reason for choosing the exact storyline he chose

And so forth. For the third time; usually all of this sort of information is discussed in detail.

That was the most amazing thing I've ever watched. I fucking bawled.

I really hope Steve lives a long, happy life. Fuck.

It really surprises me how many of you don't see how fucking awful and wrong this is to do to someone. Regardless of how the guy was living, putting him through this sort of life altering thing is terrible.
Not imo. He probably thanked him later. Derren gave him a huge favor.
The entire point of it was to make him appreciate things in life, and look at life from a different angle.

I think from the moment on when ian went with his wife, that's what hit most of the people here. It still makes me tear up when I watch that part and I can't stop thinking about it.

Yeah right. A single phrase in the ear from a telephone is enough to make someone 'fall asleep?'

If it were possible telemarketers would do it and then there'd be laws against it. Besides, he turned his shoulder into the fall to help break it without being as obvious as the rebel from Star Wars about it. Definitely bullshit

    Entertaining, but bullshit

I really don't think you know how this works.
He was hypnotised before to react to a certain word or phrase.

It's really cool that he made it all seem like a dream. I was expecting the helicopter to just land somewhere with them and have Darren Brown standing there waiting to announce that it was all fake.

I was just thinking after watching it, if we're going under the assumption that it's real, for the sake of argument, and they never told him that it wasn't a dream after he woke up at home, then they would have successfully performed inception. They put new ideas in his head that could fundamentally change him as a person, and he didn't cop that it came from an outside source until they told him.

It used to complain about AdBlock, now it doesn't. So where there would normally be ad breaks it just skips to the next part

I nearly teared up at the point where he met Iain, Danny and Leonna at the after party, that would've seemed so surreal.

But the part where he woke up and hugged his Mother, you could just tell how grateful he was for his entire family at that point.
