Now I'm not sure how many Zenit users out there have thought "I wonder what would happen if my camera fell off the top of a four story building?"

Well tomorrow I'm going to be testing if a Zenit TTL would survive this situation, by dropping it off this building:

Instead of sacrificing a lens I'm using a teleconverter, to simulate the mass of a 28mm lens

Its main fault aside from not metering properly is its missing a screw on the door latch, its not that big a problem, but its been a heavily used camera at one point



As you can see in the next picture the shutter works


And the focusing screen and prism are perfectly fine



I will be recording the fall and take pictures of the damage, I might even try multiple falls if it doesn't fail on the first impact.

Expect photos by 4PM (GMT) tomorrow and a video after that.

After fall number 1 there was no considerable damage except that several shutter speeds didn't work (B, 1/30th, 1/60th)
