Your 2048-bit RSA public / private key pair is now being created.
To strengthen the key, we have collected entropy from your mouse movements and keystroke timings.

What does that even mean, mostly the mouse and keystroke thing.
do random crap in the tab and it will start to randomize the cryptographic key

The server is located in the us.
Only located in the US if that's where you're connecting from; there are server locations all over the place.

I think that's the website itself. The servers where the files will be upload might be somewhere else (I hope).

This blows Google Drive and Dropbox outta the water, jesus. 50GB for free? That's ten times more than what Dropbox and Drive are offering.
Until there's an iPod or Android app it's still not replacing either

(can't look at my porn collection from my mobile devices without an app!)

It might be the load balancer. It might be sending you to a point in the US as that is the only one it registers as alive or something.

Nope, considering .com is a US registered TDL. Meaning the FBI can pull another takedown with no evidence again if they use it.

Uses your mouse movements to help create a random 2048-bit key. So, the numbers of the positions that your mouse goes at x your default key. Something like that would be logical. A 2048-bit encryption key is 617 digits long. And it's the type of security banks use when you want to send them your credit card details. Like logging into a online banking portal.

The servers are getting pounded harder than a college football cheerleader. I can't even get onto the main page.

and that port happens to be in DC. I've had people on my Steam friends list from Mexico, Spain, UK, and now this guy from Germany all tracert and ping it, the IP always goes through cogentco and comes up as the D.C. one.

    1) don't use DDL services
Yes you should use bittorrent so your IP address is openly advertised to everyone

I'm getting a lot of IPs from Wichita. all that really proves is that the website is hosted in the U.S., not the files people upload

I'm getting 154.53.224.166, which is CogentCo but location is either unknown or NYC, depending on the geolocation database.

Because http://www.mega.com/ already exists. It belongs to a "MEGA International" that has nothing to do with Mr. Dotcom.

I think they tried to buy the .com once and it was seized almost immediately

    Could be wrong though.

No. It generates a more random key when you randomly mouse your mouse and type.
