How will this benefit the Facepunch Community?

It will let us all come together to benefit others who need support. It would be very nice to have facepunch as a whole support a charity. I think a good one would be https://www.directrelief.org

Provide a breakdown of the costs:
The cost would be up to Hezzy. He could have it go for a certain amount of time and then donate it to the charity under the Facepunch name

Has this been thought over or discussed? Personally think it's a great idea.

If a donation is made with the name Facepunch as the donator, imagine what someone will see if they don't know what to expect.

    UK Air Ambulance - https://theairambulanceservice.org.uk/ / http://nwaa.net/ (personal pick)
    British Red Cross - http://www.redcross.org.uk/
    Macmillan Cancer - https://www.macmillan.org.uk/
    Cancer Research UK - https://www.cancerresearchuk.org/
    Breast Cancer Care - https://www.breastcancercare.org.uk/
    Prostate Cancer UK - https://prostatecanceruk.org/
    Teenage Cancer Care - https://www.teenagecancertrust.org/

These are the ones that myself and my family donate to, I personally would highly recommend supporting the Air Ambulances as they get absolutely nothing from the Government and they're really heavily relied upon.
I would have linked to the Association of Air Ambulances but their donation page is broken currently due to them redoing their website.

I would pull up some others but I really only know of UK charities, if anyone from the US or another country wants to chime in I would be nice. Ones like the Red Cross and Cancer Research are international but we could do with a few other national based ones for a good mix of suggestions.

I think the UK Air Ambulance charity is a solid choice. Can someone in the US recommend one?

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children is a program in the US that works to help Prevent child abduction and sexual exploitation, help find missing children, and
help victims of child abduction and sexual exploitation, as well as their families.

    Donation page is here

I suppose you wouldn't fully categorize it as a 'disaster' charity, but it's definitely one to keep tabs on.

While I'm not a fan of donating funds like these to charities, I'd certainly throw the EFF in to the mix.
