I still enjoy crafting my own bubbles from scratch, but this is still very handy for others. You might want to have an option to remove the drop shadow though. I know I wouldn't want it if I was making a comic anyway. Most comic makers from places like PHW don't use drop shadow either. Here's a frame I whipped up just to show you how well speech bubbles blend in better without it.

Guys! Check the age and don't revive threads! The reason there isn't a download link probably is because it is so old, in a moment I can reload it I think, but don't post anymore in this thread.

Wow, this really is a lot better than I expected it to be, one of the most useful mods I've seen in a while. I'm sure the non-photoshop owners and/or pros will love you for this, great job! :)

My first thought upon opening this was of "OH NOES!!" in that those new to comic making in Gmod would start to fill the ever-popular PHW comic forums (in particular the above average comics section) with their poorly framed comics with the idea that they had landed a masterpiece everyone will love. But after thinking about this, I don't expect it should be of much concern, at least not to the creative amid us as I have a feeling it'll uncourage us to try harder and improve standards further.

Once again, a really good job on the mod and it's nice to think that more people might get into comic-making in the near future: LUA KING'D!! :D

To place a bubble, all you have to do is select a slot you wish to place the bubble on, select your width and height and pick a material and simply click where you want to make it. If you already have a speech bubble in that slot, it will be highlighted in red and you can simply replace it by clicking somewhere else! When you install the script, load up GMod and it will be in your Post Processing tab.

If you want to make your own speech bubbles, just make the vmt and vtf and add it to the materials table in the script. Note, you will have to rotate your materials 90 degrees clockwise because for some odd reason, the texture is rotated by default.
