Unless the car has been rigged as a vehicle, it won't be drivable. If you have the rigged model and the entity script to spawn the car, I'll add it.

No, the models haven't been fixed yet. I really don't know if SG is going to fix them or not.

Unfortunatly, if you downloaded and extracted that mess into your garrysmod folder, you're pretty much stuck with having to reinstall.

Crap, Is there anyway to delete them knowing all the files? Or can you make an uninstaller?

There are several hundred files in that pack, it would probably take days to make an uninstaller for it. It would really be easier just to rename the garrysmod folder to something else and re-download the content, then proceed to get all of the stuff that you want to save out of the trashed garrysmod folder before you delete it.

Now that I think about it, an uninstaller really wouldn't work because if you extract everything directly into the garrysmod folder, it will overwrite sevral important scripts which would be removed with the uninstaller.

Just think how much smaller it could be if you zipped the installer! Or even, ^gasp^ RAR'd the installer! Or EVEN, .7z'd it, then it would be REALLY small!
I hear .7z compression rates are awesome.

The files in the installer are already compressed with Zlib. Compressing something that's already compressed will result in little or no filesize difference.

GiGaBiTe, please use LZMA on the installer. The .MDL and .BSP files can really shrink dramaticly if you do, saving us all the download time. Would you mind re-compiling the installer?

edit: in case you use the installer and it doesn't work for you make sure when you install your path in program files is right, I think the default is program files/steam..., but mine is program files/valve/steam... so I had to add the valve part. It says to check the path in the OP I know but its kind of easy to miss.

That's my point, there are bugs in the map. I am suggesting that GIGA fixes them, maybe for an upcoming release. Hopefully people can develope some more awesome vehicles. I would like to see a firetruck and ambulance, and all sorts of other things one can make a movie with! :D

GIGA if you want, I can do the lighting on those maps so they don't look so much like Twisted Metal on the Playstation One.

Someone could convert it back to GMod 9 format, but no one would want to, sorry. Your best bet is to download GMOW, VMOD, and CMOD for GMod 9.

I'll see about re-working sg_trend, I never played the map but once or twice and didn't know it had so many problems. It shouldn't take long to make it look better since it's so small.

I was also thinking about doing a Gmod9 version because you have to do some pretty crazy stuff to ensure that none of the mods overwrite scripts from eachother.

Oh, and about those Error models, they are custom models that Solid_Granite were using and I have no idea where to get them. Here's a list of the missing models.

The supra is in the spawn list, it's in the root folder at the very bottom

If I were you and wanted to keep with the custom maps being included in the release, I would supply the models in the release. The easy thing to do is dump that map.

Yeah those coke, fries, hotdog and pizza models are unreleased ones I was making for an RP map. I put them on the map by mistake. It would be cool if you did update the map gigabyte :D

Turn cheats on and use this command while looking at the car:

ent_setname <some random name, let's use car01 for example>

Then:

ent_fire car01 skin <a number between 0 and 9>

I downloaded the installer. Everything loaded up fine, but when i open the menu and choose a vehicle the game crashes. Any other props or items work fine. It seems to just be the vehicles. Any ideas?

I think that it's the new update that brokes it, before the update it was working fine for me but now it crash my game too

Strange, all of the vehicles still work for me on both SP and my dedicated server with the updates. You must have some other mod that's conflicting with the cars because the vehicles seem to work fine.

I re-installed your pack about 7 times, so I know its not me.
Prior to me installing your pack on its own, I have had a local cache directory of all my favorite mods, which included GMOW CMOD VMOD and TINYCARS. Your pack was merged onto this cache. I am redoing my local cache and I have found that your pack on it's own is quite faulty.

I just cleared my GMod 10 folder, and installed JUST YOUR PACK. There are so many missing materials its unreal! I will be submitting a pack of all the missing materials.

Here is proof I have the pack installed properly:



I don't mean to be flaming you, so don't get me wrong, I want this pack to work for everyone.

Edit:

Please ignore the audio not being synced, I just slapped this video together using Source Recorder set at default settings.

If you get this problem, you may use an unsupported version of the vehicle pack that I created by pming me for the link.

I already told you on more than one occasion to not copy the addon over the garrysmod folder, but you did not listen. If you refuse to install the addon as it was intended to be in the addons folder, DO NOT complain about problems you are having, because you caused them yourself by trashing up your garrysmod folder.

I seriously don't get you and your "local cache" crap, Garrysmod 10 does not have a modcache and doesn't need one. You are only screwing yourself over by doing something like that.

I request you remove your "patch" because it is not a patch, it is a heap of trash that will only fuck your Gmod installation over and likely cause more problems like you are having.

Ok GIGA, I'm only trying to help, but it feels like your shitting down my neck. I did 4 more reinstalls of your pack and each time the material problems have worsened... then on the 5th retry of the evening, when I was doing a screen capture, all materials but 1 worked. The train model.

Please stop being so mean to me :(

Edit:

I'm encoding a movie capture right now for you to see. What could have caused it to fail about 14 times, please don't tell me its because I installed to the root of garrysmod\garrysmod because I didn't on all 14 tries. The pack I made seems to work without any missing materials.

Nice work on sg_trendv2, how about a 3d skybox just to make it look "bigger"? Just a suggestion.

Also you might be wondering why I made the doors so weird and complicated, it was to try and stop people welding them, I think I succeeded but easy weld still ruined them. So if you find a way around this great.
