This was inspired by this thread.

This is a Keypad that triggers a numpad press or outputs numbers for the wire addon. If the input is wrong it triggers one keypress and if it's right it triggers another. This includes 3 STools, normal, advanced (pic) and wire version. The wire version is under the "Wire" menu.
You simply go forward to the numpad and use E to press the number keys.
There is also a secure mode that turns your numbers into stars (*) so nobody can read what you're typing.
Just drop in addons folder and unpack!

Picture showing the advanced mode and the keypad:

Extremely useful. Will work well with anti noclip, and door tool. Could you possibly host this on garrysmod.org? I can't download it from the current link. Thanks.

This should be ported to be used with the Wire Addon..

like this :

Correct Password = value : On/1
Incorrect Password = value : Off/2

it would be AWESOME and SO useful.but it's a really good stool anyway

You can actually do this. When I tested it out I just used a simple sample of dynamite and made it '2' on the keypad and my door '1' on the keypad. Now, if the code was correct, the door stays open, if not, it blows up the dynamite killing anyone in a pretty good radius. Same can be used if you wanted to lock them in a hallway or killed with a hydraulic trap, ect. The message is the only thing that would have to be made up and I don't know squat about doing this stuff but I'm sure you can add a line in that will trigger the message.

He's asking the author for instructions how to use it with wire addon as far as I got it, said it was too much to go through himself.

And all values should be user set. So that if you'd want to you could set
Idle: 0
Correct Password: 100
Incorrect Password: -14

Finally!

Finally I can make that wire quest!

A quest to open the door! Go around Gm_construct and solve mysteries to get a number , once all numbers gathered you can enter it on the keypad and door opens! (and you die).
(I won't explain how wire comes into this, complicated :D)

Awesome, I was wondering when this would be released! GOLD STAR!

EDIT: LUA KINGED!

EDIT 2: Whenever I goto place a keypad it says Invalid key or something like that.

Edit:

EDIT 3: FOUND THE PROBLEM! When the number "0" is set as one of the numbers to unlock the keypad it will come up as "Invalid Password" because "0" is not a number that is used in the script.

Nice, I played with this on Edberg's server and I made an apartment with a sliding blast door. The right code opened the door - the wrong code got you impaled with Malawar's harpoon launcher

(Jeffman12 enjoyed being impaled so much he constantly tried guessing the code to my apartment just to get himself killed).

It's really cool. I love it, most amazingly of all is that it is 100% Lua and uses no models. I got it running on my server and the people love it. Great for making traps and such. Also good for doors and etc. Yea, you know what it's all good for.

Why couldn't you just use the wire inputs? If this gets converted to wire, make it worthwhile, such as, make it work like the value gate as well.

Wire A: Correct Pass (1 or 0)
Wire B: Failed Pass (1 or 0)
Wire C: Current Entered Value

Right on, This is just what I didn't know that I needed until I saw it.
Beautiful STOOL Robbis, and it works amazingly. The only thing that I think might make it better aside from the aforementioned wire addon compatibility, would be the ability to update an existing keypad if you shoot it with the toolgun, as opposed to spawning a new one in front of it.

I totally think you should have KeyCrackers , or a device that you shove near a keypad , ant it will do... hmmm , atleast 9999 Different codes
Basically +1 , then +01 , then +001 , then +0001 , And it will use it ingame , not finding out its code. Wait , is that possible? I dunno , I cannot use Lua , I do not know it!

It would probably be counter-intuitive to a security themed STool to enable others to run a script and go make a sandwich while deviously plotting how to destroy the inside of someone's fort once they get in. :)

Yep, but you can't use codes while it says "Access denied" or "Access granted". So it will take a hell load of time.
