Calm Gorg I have been told a long time ago before V2 was released by audio himself that if his threads get locked or die he will make a new thread for the next version (at the time he was about to release V2) and i agree enthusiasm is good but not to the point of swearing.

It's not that I'm busy or anything..

I quit about 3 weeks ago now. Community is quite poor to be honest, but who knows. Been thinking of carrying on with things on gmod. Might stay :)

If you do leave make a website or something where we can talk about your mod and get updates on it and stuff like that please.

Well, in some way we would all love to see the V3 come out one time or another. Also a question here, does V2 still work with Gmod 11? Someone might of said this or not but there is 35 pages and I do not want to go through all of them. Audio when I saw your video on Youtube it brought me here, I have a lot of respect for you my friend and I can no doubt say that if you can complete this and say good-bye then people will be happy with what has ended "with a bang" lol. Plus also I extracted all of the files correctly, only thing is a NULL entity comes up when I try and spawn a bomb in the VMF suite. It pondered me for awhile but I wonder if anyone knows how to fix it? Or is it just not Gmod11 compatible? Thanks =)

Like my post above that, make sure you read what Chop said =P. It does NOT work with the current Gmod11. Though I would love to see this work, it won't until this VMF problem is resolved.

Alright people, two things I'd like to mention.

1. The next installment of this pack will not be named "VMF Explosive Pack", instead it'll include a lot more than just bombs! It'll also be given a new area for release, the contraption section. Trust me, you won't be dissapointed, and I'm so sorry for the wait. Just I had high hopes for a second version, but didn't have any time. But!! I've got a lot more time now, and I'll be making a new pack which will include more than explosives :).

2. The VMF Suite. Now, for a while it's been broke, and it was only the other day that I thought I wanted to come back, and when I do it's broke. Typical. So, not saying much at this stage, but I won't be waiting forever. If it doesn't get fixed soon, or a SIMPLE console command version doesn't get released soon, I won't be around to complain.

SO!! Let's hope that there'll be a way to spawn VMF's very soon, so I can give you guys a hint of what could be to come!

If ye got any questions on what I want to have planned in this new pack, give me a PM and I'll send a text file over, which will include a text file containing a description and some plans.

So to round it all up, I'll be ending this thread soon (after I release a fixed version of Explosive Pack 2 for you when the VMF Suite is fixed), then I'll be working on the next majour successor to this mod!

Sadly, the features that will be in the new pack won't be compatible with the Gmod9 VMF Loader :(. Sorry guys..
I've just looked around and there IS a version of the VMF Suite that works for Singleplayer/Multiplayer on Gmod11!! I've posted instructions on the main VMF Suite thread for you if you wanna check it out. That being said, Bass and I are going to go ahead and continue the project.

About the new pack!

Some people have been asking me what the new project is going to be.. the name of the new package will be called Ghosts of Evolution, will be futuristic, and here's something Bass and I came up with that should explain the conceptual idea and the theme behind the new pack!

The year is 2152

Warfare has been the topic around the globe for over thirty years, ever
since the worldwide skirmish over Earth’s resources began due to the
panic of the unavoidable ice age. Naturally, worried citizens rose
questions about the welfare of society, what would be the outcome, if we
were ever to sustain control over the ever-growing fears of our future.
Today’s superpowers had discussed their plans, consisting of teraforming
known surrounding systems, desperate to find new systems to settle. The
majority of the population had little say in the matter. Our numbers
grew, we were so many.
The remaining population on Earth were forced to adapt to their new style
of life. Technology grew; materials and machines designed to withold
temperatures unthinkable of surviving in. Despite our efforts, we were
eventually led to choose who was to stay, and who was to leave. The
conclusion of the decision led to the beginning of something far worse.


Further development
-------------------

Two nations (two teams), ware on arctic conditions for control of areas.
Battles would consist of use of troops, vehicles, aircraft and
superweapons. Several areas will be included to spread the choice of
battles.

Well to be honest, I gave some of the finished VMF's a try in Gmod9, seemed to work almost perfectly.. one or two glitches but they can be worked around.. so you never know. Might be compatible after all!

Well that's what i thought would be the case because the only things that wouldn't be compatible would be hoverballs, models and lua based machines IE Life support.

And i have a hoverball script for gmod9 so im happy

Also about these "natural EM zones" what exactly does this mean, for example you put no-fly zones but if i were to drive a tank in there would it still run?

Well they were originally designed for an excuse for the map edges haha! Made sense, so I think we'll use it as that.. or it could be a bomb which, when set off, produces a no-fly zone.. essentially an EMP area, which aircraft or tanks wouldn't function in.

Install it as to instructions, run the the .bat file in the addon folder, add VMFs, run stated console command with VMF filepath in, instant VMF.
On topic, I like the way the flash completely obscures your vision, rather than the crappy flash that let Teta's down.

Wasn't made by me. I found it on SVN, made it stand alone. The "nil value" errors are the tell tale sign of not installing the alpha vmf suite right. ;)

Well yeah, Jinto doesn't finish / update anything these days (except his fucking hoverboard). I could of seen this coming from miles away. And we'll probably never see his Nuke 6 (mentioned and shown off with screenies in this thread: Redone nuke possible?). Even though it was allegedly near completion.
Then again Fozor posted on his blog explaining how they ran out of interest for Garry's Mod. It's kind of like Ubisoft. Somehow, Chad managed to develop so many amazing, and to some people, essential things (VMF Suite, the original Life Support, spacebuild maps, nuke 6m etc) and then subsequently dropped devoping for Garry's Mod. Ubisoft somehow got the rights to so many good titles (Rainbow Six, Far Cry, Splinter Cell) right after they decided to go all money-grubbing-code-shitty-games-make-CEOs-rich-xbox-macde-us-millions on us. In case anyone wants to see, I uploaded a video of Chad's nuke 6 that he released on his (no almost blank) blog some time ago. See here:


ON TOPIC Does anyone have the release video for this pack that was in the first post, by audio84? Apparently the video was removed, and I wish to see it again as it was the sole reason I upgraded to Gmod 10 back in the day!
