The obsolete icon is not a problem AS LONG AS it's the right entity. If you misname the entity, it won't work, as the game won't know how to use it.
As long as the entity is named correctly (so that the game can interpret it), it should work just fine within Parasite.

At your Pre-Release you did a fatal mistake you changed the name of the weapons but forgot to change them at the item_delete() function wich makes the weapons stay and adding and adding every round and it begin to lag i donīt know if you already knew it but maybe not so just fix that :P
Awesome mod.
Seems as if I've ran into a problem, though. Last night, I was hosting a 2-hour session, and having a blast. Today, after first joining the pre-release server to check things out, each time I make a server, when the round ends, my computer locks up and crashes.
I haven't found out what is doing this, and have reinstalled the gamemode many times.
Any help?
maybe because of the many weapons try to edit the init.lua this follow code begins at line 244 but the wepss[*] need to be replaced by this to remove the weapons correct if you donīt know how to do it wait till its fixed :P

The game is called Parasite were one person is an alien but they look more like zombies, I think it would be alot cooler to have the Alien form look like an alien and the zombie you turn into when you die should be like a alien drone or something. The models should be vortiguants or some custom player models from CS:S Zombie Mod the Alien LOOKING ones.

Icky, I've played quite a few rounds and it gave nostalgic feelings to the gamemode parasite from warcraft 3. Did you get the idea from there?
Anyhow, I'm a mapper, and I'm working on my own secret map for this gamemode now, what do I need to have extra configured to make the right things.

Let me explain this, you start of at one of the 2 landing pads, or inside the dormitory (sleeping room) somewhere.
You can go inside the spaceship on the landing pad to travel to a nearby asteroid and have a little stroll there too, there are lots of caves and mountains there tho.
Red area means only 1 level, darkblue means level 2, blue means level 3, lightblue is water, grey is inaccessable snow, white is walkable snow and on the meteor half-snow half-rock
Darkpink lines indicates doors, there's a small walkway from the arctic base landing pad to a backdoor. The darkgreen line is a climbable rope to the other tower.
This gamemode scares me shitless when I'm with someone, not sure if they are a 'thing'. -.-
Also, that movie screwed me up when I was younger.
Make your map so the needs are spread with the same relative distance from each other (at least from 2 other one).

You won't be able to force player no to camp. Actually players don't camp because if they do, they die. Have you found a way to kill players ? Don't make the map too complicated with "switch that kill everyone". Anyway it's your map but I don't aprove at all.

strange only have that lift bug at the european server on my server i never saw that bug :S
We managed to get the lift to go through the map on our (the European) server by placing a SAW/M249 under where it was going down... it's an interesting issue.
It's source engine + hammer wich is bugged. It's a fact. So I'll have to configure hammer again for gmod (because it erase the config all the time) , and remove the last elevator for V7.

You need to configure hammer to work with garrys mod.
You have para cust folder in materials ? Personally i have the vtf in materials and the vmt in para_cust. But it's not important were you plave them , since you use pakrat to pack them into the bsp...

make sure your map begins with "para_" prefix like the spaceship maybe there will be a restrict on maps to pervent maps that arenīt using the custom content of the gamemode
