Mission plan:
Short Term Goals:
Basic ship parts in one style (three or so wing types, one set of corridors, a cargo and fighter bay, just enough parts to make a ship a few different ways) (

Connection system based around 'pegs' (like lego almost)
Medium Term plans:
Total premade ships (fully built ship ready to have LS and engines put on)
Premade Ship Hulls (internals not there, just the outside) (

Around a hundred ship 'parts' including hull sections, wings, weapon mounts, engine sections, bridges, internal corridors, bays, etc. (
Sucessfully met.)
(potential) Future Ideas:
* Spawn 'panels' and auto-snap-together system for parts
* Pressurization for specially codes water maps
* A game-mode using the parts for ship construction based on a cost (global rp, but with only these parts)
* Toolgun for spawning items (

Currently reserved for the Dev team.
(update)We're working on a public SVN at the moment and will update you as updates come.
Do i need addons to run this?
Yes, the modelpack will not crash your game/not work/kill your cat if you spawn a prop from the pack from the spawnmenu.
However, we
recommend (strongly) that you install and use the following addons:
* Life Support Systems 2 SVN
* Resource Distribution 2
* SpaceBuild 2
These addons will enable our 'LS Ship Modules' and 'SBMP Weaponry' modules.

How about a cockpit, or rooms (bridges, hangars etc)?
When ever 'bays' or 'fighter components' we aim to add them.

These are so low-quality and not a-lot of polygons. DO MORE WORK ON THEM.

Lol, your mod sucks, you're going to take creativity out of ships, you suck, lol, lol, lol, lol, go away I'm scared of change and endorse PHX.
Well, we'll be sad to see you go. There are a few problems with PHX, which by no means we think was a bad idea. Most of these problems
fall to the following categories: laggy collision models, lazy modelling, and inefficient handling of props. In addition, PHX only adds the following:
* Plates (Straight) Small/Large
* Plates (Curved) Small/Large
In contrast, we add the following:
* Small and large scaled hullpieces.
* Connection pieces
* Prewindowed hulls
* Weaponry
* Resource Caches
* Styled ships and suggested designs
And that's just what we have
at this time.
Though PHX is nice for creating structures which cannot be designed elsewise, the average PHX ship consists of 10-40 PXH plates, plus other laggy props,
and when you throw in the aforementioned problems with PHX, you have a server's worst nightmare. We intend on fixing PHX when or where, ever, the possibility arises.
But our time is limited and we've many props yet to do--help is encouraged.
