    For me, the texture is really ugly.. I have models and everything set to High but no bumpmap, specular or phong.. (I'm using a Dell so I can't play this 8 year old game on full graphics without lag... *cough*)

    Also the no bullet thing like everyone else of course.

    HL2 is though.. Well 4 if you don't count the time it was being made. In any case my computer can't play Counter-Strike 1.6 without lagging apparently, so my point is still valid.

    NO. NO, NO, NO, and NO.

    I am seriously sick to fucking death of Source's hitscan bullshit, why any sane person would want instant, invisible lasers that are liable to hit a windowsill rather than the target your scope's lined up on just because you're crouching (Insurgency, I'm looking at you...) is beyond me. Keep the flight time and parabolic trajectory, i.e. proper projectile physics. Hitscan is absolute fucking rubbish and I have no idea why Valve insisted on using it for Source when much older games did away with it effortlessly.

    Plus, impact delay due to the bullet actually not going the speed of light and drop due to gravity mean that hitting people at extreme range takes skill (though I didn't notice any real drop or delay until I started picking off targets literally from across freespace, so I have no idea why anyone would care anyway).

    The proper projectile is the main reason I love this SWEP so much. Don't even think about touching it, Jaanus :argh:

    The fact that it uses the "Realistic SWEP Base" should tell you that it's not broken at all. And last time i checked in real life bullets don't always go straight.

    Wind affects things. But this game doesn't factor in wind, and it would be utter bullshit if they tried to make it realistic... if I want realistic, I'll go fire a real gun... video games are here for fun, not realism... so...

    Please excuse my stupidity, but I can't figure out where to put the new sniper patch in the sniper folder. Any help is appreciated.

    Even though it doesn't do damage, the gun is still awesome, and the sounds for it.

    I mean it does seem to effect ragdolls but other than that, there's no kind of bullet holes or damage done to anything.

    Any chance this'll change in a new update?

    The Scope won't work, all i see it the model with no see-through parts (basically a big round black circle

    The sniper rifle won't do any damage, won't even leave a mark on the walls/scenery.

    And i have to do a fucking apostrofie at the end of anything that ends in a T!

    Apparently a recent update fixed the bug which was stopping the original SWEP from working.

    Bugs:

    1. Laser still moves when user is using the cursor in the Q menu... ( Fix by disabling laser movement whilst Q is held? )

    2. Laser cannot be seen by other players unless they can see the source of the laser. ( No idea how to fix this one. )

    3. No longer inflicts damage in gmod07. ( update, not beta. )

    Yeah. Most things anymore are packaged in RAR files. WinRAR or a similar program would be the easy way out of this one.
