Maybe a room with one entrance and one exit. But the exit has a teleporter in it so you keep running through the same room until you think of the fact that you need to go back through the entrance.

Okay, i've finished my section (updated it) So now it has a series of obstacle you need to pass. The only problem is that I cannot get a func_tracktrain to move at all when I try to trigger it. Does anyone know a way to make it start moving automatically when the map loads? If you want I can send you a vmf of it so you can try it yourself.

I'm not sure. Try using a path_track entity instead. ;)

As an update, the map has the following things:
  • All the basics. A spawn room and a room with the three passageways to connect more sections together.
  • The Animated Hall of Horror! Made by yours truly.
    Tremble beneath the might of Mr. Bean and his spinning erection!
  • A TV Room. Also by me.
    Basically a room where you want to avoid touching the energy beams that are criss-crossing the room.
  • A whole lot of textures!
    I will probably release a pack for those who want a bunch of animated textures, OIFY stuff, and pedobear in their map section.

Shall I release a texture pack?

Can someone help me get bspzip to work? I don't want to download any java stuff so I want to get bspzip working.
This goes on the command line parameters thing:

The oifymat.txt file is in my ep2 maps directory so why isn't it working? It doesn't ever mention the adding file while compiling. I've checked my logs and there are no errors that I can see. What am I doing wrong?

Edit:

I have update pictures! I just added the flame room and it looks great!

The only change to the spawn room is The Hottest Place on the Web texture which now blinks just like in the real OIFY!

About that endless teleporter room.

How about making the texture of the walls change every time the person teleports back to make them think they're making progress?

Also, needs more flaming newspaper.

Good idea, but I'm not sure how to change texture via a trigger. It's possible to change the color, but I'm not sure about texture. :(

Oops, must have set the rotation speed far to high, turn it down a bit thanks. For me it didn't move so fast when I ran it. Don't remove it!

No, the problem was that your origin was way, WAY off. Also there are still tons of leaks.

No, I was just suggesting it. However I had another idea. It's "General Discussion." It's essentially just a white room with blue accents, supposed to look like normal facepunch. You get teleported in there, and can't get out.

It's got this on the wall:



And that's it, with the exception of a button that kills you.

Got a tutorial on how to convert images into textures? I can do it myself.

I've done almost every texture in this map and can easily do that in 5 minutes. :D
I added the Mexican texture, now to test it in the game!

Edit:

I've made a keypad at the end of the spaz maze which consists of all the OIFY ratings! Pressing them in the right order will reveal the credits list and will open a secret door leading somewhere.

I need a section for it to be connected to. Right now, every room(besides the spawn room) has a door or exit at the end which needs another room/map section connected to it. :D

Does anyone want me to release a texture pack?

Edit:

I have fixed the fire room. When you go through the first time, the mingebag will go from side to side very fast and I'm thinking of adding a couple more to add to the weirdness. :D

Thanks for fixing it, although I never had any problems with the map :/

I think the top one looks better, but if you want it to look crappy, try the second room.(no offense to your mapping skills)

Texture pack - yes.
Great job on the rooms.

You should make a texture that flashes really really fast, shows really bright colors, and do whatever else to make it as much of an eyesore as possible.

It would've worked fine, but it had leaks and glitches(such as the origin stuff). No leaks anymore and no origin problems. I now have 2 mingebags moving from side to side in opposite directions. That means if your timing is off you will be hit by both and get some major damage dealt to you. :D
Also, I meant for that to look terrible. Because there may be a better picture later on, I won't choose the icon quite yet. Maybe the beta icon will be the first picture, but I'm not sure.

I will release a texture pack soon. There will most likely be more so I will probably release the pack more than once with more textures.

Sounds like the first picture is what people like.
As for the texture, we already have one. It's the spaz texture made by ilikehltwo which really hurts your eyes after a while. Especially if you are playing on your computer in a dark room. I thought my head would explode last night!

I can make one but it won't be with sound and I won't be able to upload it. If your upload time is short then I can give you the video for you to upload. :D

I've also come across the sudden realization which is this map's biggest downfall. If I release this as an addon rather than a map with embedded textures, then only people who downloaded it from the original source will see textures.

I NEED to use bspzip or something on it or else this map will fail. Absolutely nobody that I've spoken to knows anything about bspzip and pakrat/MAN/bspzip wizard don't work for me. Pakrat and MAN need java and the download site always redirects me when I try to follow a download link. I got bspzip wizard installed, but it doesn't add the textures successfully!

Will someone please give me a detailed explanation about exactly what to do?

I'm frequent to interlopers to figure stuff out, but I can't figure out what things do by myself.

I need more video tutorials,

I think for the white room you just made a room textured with the 'lights/white' texture (type 'light' into your filter in the texture browser)

The map has a weird cubemap problem. I'm trying to fix it at the moment. I still need more people to make contributions. I know there are many people working on a section so I would like for them to give me a progress report. :D

Edit:

Since bspzip is obviously non-functional, I may need to give it to someone who has a working copy of pakrat to do it for me.

My computers broke. I think my hard drive broke. I'm checking the warranty and other stuff for it. I don't know when it'll be fixed. :(

Well, the map is looking good other than the lack of rooms. I have 3 and that's it. I'm going on a trip but I'll be taking my flash drive with me with the map on it so maybe I'll be able to work on it while I'm away.
