HOLY SHIT! One of the BEST...no not game.... MOVIE EVER!! Why don't they make this a movie and sell it instead of a damned game. It's got alot of inspiring stuff about stupid government. heh, ironic isn't it. Ea for gamers = bad government for society. What irony. Anyway, this is a hell of a show. Pretty much a movie where you can interact and do stuff. Still, it's a movie and what do we do with movies? Well, for one, we go to the theatre to see them, 5 bucks a pop. Or, we buy them on DvD, 10-20 bucks a pop. This shit is 50 bucks a pop.

This game doesn't have that much replay value. Trust me, i got that from EA's second latest game, Dead Space. Just a story, once it's over, similar to any movie, it's over. Why would you watch it again? or in this case, play a movie-like game again.

I'd say EA should go into making movies instead of wasting their efforts on games. They've got alot of Hollywood talents but NO SHITTY game talent, making gamers everywhere sick of their presence as a game company.

This game is way too difficult for my tastes. I broke my controller in frustration.

If I were you, I would just pass up. You're not missing much.

Uh no, I don't think so.

I always laugh at people that break controllers in frustration.

I think it is a rent for sure, but buying it? Maybe not. This game is much like Assassin's Creed, you play through it once and never touch it again. Like a fat wife.

Okay, so I've beaten the game. Frustrating, on the fence about the conclusion, story sucks. But, I can appreciate the work that went into the game even if they half assed the gameplay, it's a great start and I can't wait for more from this genre.

I think Dead space would have made a great horror/sci-fi film

This game is definitely atleast worth a rent. The gameplay is new and innovative, and that alone is a good enough reason to try it.

I'm on the fence here. I mean the reviews from critics seem to say it's a trial and error game more than anything else, which in this day and age is frowned upon because games from the 80s and 90s were all about that. But then again I look at how much games have been dumbed down for the masses, and how when I grew up games required to you to really "master" them to be good at them and memorize enemy patterns, levels and more. I haven't really played something like that since.

So, my thinking is I should buy it just for the sake of having a challenge? I mean, a game as stylized and badass at this would probably be a blast once you know everything. It's become sort of annoying playing the hardest difficulty in a game only to beat it in less than a day (for me at least). I really want a challenge, does this game deliver?

Rent I say. Personally I wouldn't buy it simply because once I beat the main mode I won't touch it again.

Definitely delivers. Play it on Normal with the reticle turned off and runner vision off for more of a challenge. Then, once you beaten it, you have the speed runs to do and the time trials, or the game in Hard again which is definitely a challenge.

I'm definitely impressed with this game, although I would have to agree with the other, it's a rent. Although so far it is good, the lack of multiplayer and linearity of the levels means that once finished, the only thing to do is play the Time Trials repeatedly. I may consider buying this when the PC version comes out, just because of the possibility of Mods and better anti-aliasing (AA really does suck of the console versions).

Buy. Play it on normal once, getting the "Test of Faith" achievement, then go back and do it on hard with the advantage of having guns for the now tougher enemies, then play the timetrials and speedruns like mad.

The story is a decent part of the game, but it's a lot different going at the other two modes, and in my mind, a lot more fun.

Too bad the Unreal engine isn't very mod friendly.

Agreed, the game actually looks better on my 15" SDTV than it does on a 22" HDTV at 720p because the aliasing is much more noticable in HD.

Bought the game, doing all the trophies excluding the speedrun ones (which I'll start after hard mode). And I must say I love this game. Such a blast, and exactly the sort of breathe of fresh air I've wanted from a game

I actually thought it was going to be really easy, surprisingly, it's pretty hard, by the time you've stopped to enjoy the visuals, someone's shooting you.

I played the console [X360] demo and found it good, I have it pre-ordered for the PC, though I want to play a PC demo so to wonder if I should return my pre-order.

Jump, quick turn, punch.

You even get an achievement for it! (sorry if it's been mentioned)

For the 'Test of Faith' Achievement, do I have to play through the entire story without shooting, or is it each chapter without shooting? (ie Play through chapters 1-6 without shooting, killing on the last 3 chapters, then going back and redoing the last 3 chapters without shooting. Would this get the achievement?)

I just got this trophy while playing hard mode. Basically, you can shoot the weapons, just make sure no bullets hit any enemies. Because one level will require you to blow up servers with a gun of any type. Just make sure no stray bullets hit anyone and you'll get it

And I'm pretty sure you need to do it in a new game, not through chapter select
