Hi every body.

I am one of those anime fan that think that Gmod don't have enough anime stuff. After i did release the first pack. I am gonne release one model at time as they get finish.

If any of the creator/publisher of this models disagree about that I rig the model, please tell me so we don't get any problems.

I know that those are already out there, but they are not rig to work with npc ore player model. So there is my idea to rig them. But if any have more good anime model you want have in gmod so are I glad if you tell me where I can find them. I have released one figure out. but that is not from any know anime ore manga.
NB: I didn't make the model. i just rig it.

Okay good news. The player model problem is done. I have just find out how to do. And Haruhi is almost finish. I did believe that I gonad be finish today but some stuff came in the way so it did delay it so I did just manage to do one today.

Anime is 2D because it allows for freeformed faces and bodies, while in 3D everything stays in the same place, making it look horrible and god-fucking awful.

Go ahead and do your anime models, because they'll end up looking bad. There's not a damn thing you can do to make 3D anime look good, and even 3D professionals can't perfect it.

Okay that was it. I did know something like that was coming but that was the limit. You have just now wasted you're time on this post that the normal anime fan reads. And they don't care about you're meaning about anime.

but at least to make it more suitable, look at the game theme:

+half-life 2 environment : near future = so make the model appearance (costume) fit with it
+half-life 2 game type : FPS shooting = make the model looks like soldier a bit
+Added garrys mod :P : Everything can be inside!!

So i think the model "NALURI" is acceptable!
have both near future and soldier outfit and yes! the third picture like hentai :D .. ehem.. i like soldier girl :P

well to consider konata & suzumiya = its more to school girl
zero = too futuristic
miku hatsuune = yeah near future but her appearance not suitable for shooting

well its still garrys mod.... people can do what they want :P

As for those bashing the whole thing, I recommend not posting, because if anything, it will result in bans and I don't like to see that happen. You guys can have your opinions, just don't overdo it.

Anyone who thinks they don't fit into Gmod should have a look at a few good screenshots in the Konata thread. They look perfectly at home, whether Konata and Haruhi are chilling in an SUV or playing PS2 games...lol.

Edit: And playermodels will be made of awesome and win.

I am Chatting daily with XenoAisam. And I have just get the rights of 2 models to edit yet. And it is Naluri and Spechalpha.

Anime figures are a little challenge to get in because of different body type but I haven't models this. All of those models are either exported from a game ore made by others. But I think it looks great.

That model is a custom downloadable character from UT2004 i know it is are you sure you didn't rip it from the game or did you make it?

The UT2004 model is not rip of from a game. It is model by XenoAisam that also own that blog http://xenoaisam.wordpress.com/ And I did get the source file from XenoAisam.

Yeah TF2 would work good for the models, I don't know it's all opinion I suppose.

Ohh i knowe those models. But I have only permission to use SpechALpha and Naluri. But Spechalpha gone be released with 3 different texture. The black one, White and Normal cloth that I did get from Xeno.

Hmm i believe that vortiguant have it own special bones. so i think if it should be replace it gonad alot of work. but i can look at it.

I'm amazed at the hostility here. Why is it that people actually have to object to somebody making something? It's not like you have to add every model-pack you see to your own GMod, so why do you care?

Personally I don't mind this one bit, especially if the models are from actual video games.

And I speak for 3d modellers and animators when I say that with enough effort you can make 3d that very VERY closely resembles the 2d counterpart. Especially with the ability cel shade, which I'm quite familiar with. However, even smooth shade doesn't work out too badly.

Really, anyone saying anime done in 3d automatically looks terrible is fooling themselves. Video games do it all the time. And really, anime is much better for 3d than US cartoon characters, because generally anime characters are DESIGNED to work in 3d space. They have specific dimensions because anime generally tries to be anatomically orrect. There is a form to them, and that is why drawn anime can look so good.

However, I've seen numerous examples of 3d anime that look almost identical to the 2d models. The only real disadvantage is that for an ingame model the poly count must be conservative, and if you're cel shading, that's not so great because cel shading is most effective with many polys.

It's true that anime models with their flat-color skins may look a tad awkward against gritty, dirty realistic Half Life Environments, but Hell, Team Fortress 2 works on almost those same principles, and I THINK it's done rather well for itself.

Actually, I did know that Xeno had made a KOS-MOS model (no offense Harpuia). I've been trying to get back at ripping Xenosaga III models. I know a technique that mariokarto64n taught me and been using that. Only sad part is, it's a pain to get the model. I do however have a complete MOMO swimsuit model (no textures though) and part of v3 KOS-MOS. I suppose if anyone is serious enough to try this method, let me know by pm or in this thread if allowed. Just don't be surprised if I don't respond right away though, been dealing with life's problems.

Here a little update how it goes.
Konata have now a complete weight map. I am bit exited how it gonad turn out when Konata is lower than the hl2 bones.


Zero is also soon rolling out.


I may want try to make the texture in a better quality.

Too bad you can't just move the bones down...but damn, awesomeness. This pack is going to be awesome when you release it :D

If i scale down the bone there gonad be some problem
when it use some animation. For the animation will scale up the rig. so i have to get it as close to the scale.

Oh wow, Zero looks awesome.

And a (very fast) search as Turbosquid revealed that the Zero model he's working on now is the best quality one. (The free ones lack Zero's hair, and the one for sale has a few details off.)

I did find a decent quality Pantheon there, untextured.
