Alright. I had to decompile my map to get the VMF back, because I guess I lost it .
For now, they are just hammer shots.
The Ice Chamber Thing, where you fight Peaches (is that his name ?, can't remember). One of the freezers will have an entrance to the Smuggler's Hideout.
Medical Pavilion Entrance, I've sorta made this for the mapping contest. It needs the "Medical Pavilion" sign.
Edit: Yes, that is a Circus of Values in the first picture.
Edit 2: forgot, about the proximity mine. you can put them anywhere, and a npc or player will set them off.
Well, I did say anywhere... A advanced technique in Bioshock was to put them on a object, then use Telekenisis and fling them at Big Daddies.
Holy crap, this is shaping up to be tottally awesome. Only problem I see is it's basically RP but anyone can have a weapon and no one is protected.

I planned on making a complementing gamemode with the map. So when you kill someone, or obtain a weapon or plasmid your "insanity" level increases. Higher it is, you become more like a Splicer. If your insanity reaches the Splicer level, you lose all your weapons, and are limited to what you can do. On the positive side, you can walk on ceilings and cool stuff..miniman. posted:

For that area you should make a blend texture for the floor so it blends between snow and floor tiles, so it doesn't look like you're walking on pure ice but there is actually a floor beneath.Foda posted:

Ok, so basically, when you compile a map, the source engine removes all uneeded faces, and chops all the remaining ones up into triangles, then sews them all together to create one big face.
When you decompile a map, using vmex, it tries to recreate the vmf and put all the information back in that is lost when the map was compiled. Obviously it can only guess, so you often end up with multiple brushes where there was one, gaps between brushes, invalid brushes, missing sides etc. \hence when you decompile a map, recompiling is almost sure to result in disaster somewhere down the line without rebuilding most of the brushwork.

Ignore the green bar, it's a temporary health bar. The weapon icon changes with your current weapon.
Holy shit! All I can say is to grunge up the green bar and have it be the same color of brown as everything else and you got yourself the perfect HUD!

Isn't there some brush entity that makes it so when you enter a certain area you can see the breath from the players mouth? I remember someone talking about it and I wondered where it was used if it was used at all then I played DoD:Source. Would be cool to impliment that into the map.
