Simon Pegg
It's a “social sci-fi, look it up on Wikipedia and then bone up on John Christopher and John Wyndham."
"It's more mature, we've grown up since we wrote Shaun of the Dead," he said. "This tackles things that are going on with us now - it is a little blacker even than Shaun, I think."
Edgar Wright
“We’ve said in our most lofty moments that 'Shaun Of The Dead' was about evolution – it was about Shaun becoming something more than he was. 'Hot Fuzz' was about devolution – it was about [super-cop] Nick Angel dumbing himself down to become something else. And 'World’s End' is about revolution, which will be apparent when you see it.”
“I would say it's darker, more personal and more silly."

From an interview with Simon Pegg
"What about At World’s End, when is that coming? SP: As soon as we can, basically. And whether or not it’s called that, I don’t know. Hopefully after Mission Impossible I’ll have some time, so that we can sit down and get the ball rolling. And maybe turn it over slightly quicker than normal.
This should hopefully not take as long as ‘Shaun‘ and ‘Hot Fuzz’ did. And of course Nick will be involved from the beginning. So it’s just a question of logistics and practicality, and timing. But we’re so ready to do it."

according to Pegg, who told MTV News that we could see the elusive "Blood and Ice Cream" conclusion as soon as 2012.
Edgar has coughed up that ['Scott Pilgrim'] furball and we're now in the process of regurgitating ['Paul'], so Edgar and I are planning to get together in the next few months to start working on the next in the 'Blood and Ice Cream' series," Pegg told us, adding that he hopes his good pal Frost will be "more involved in the creation of that.
"We're hoping — hoping, fingers crossed — maybe next year would be a good time to make it, even release it," he said.
But don't hold him to that time table. Pegg was quick to issue a warning: "We would like that in an ideal world, but it's not a fact, nor should it be disseminated as such." As he wisely points out, "On the Internet, you have a lot to answer for!"
Well, fact or not, you nonetheless put an irresistible but small amount of "Blood and Ice Cream" in our mouths, Mr. Pegg — and we're expecting at least eight additional scoops come 2012.

------------------------------------------ORIGINAL THREAD BELOW------------------------------------------
The final film in the 'Blood and Ice Cream trilogy' / 'Three flavours Cornetto' trilogy has been announced. So far it looks to be a sci-fi doomsday film. And yes, as with the other two, the film will be directed by Edgar Wright, and staring Simon Pegg and Nick Frost.
So what's all this about Cornetto?

Well it's basically a tribute to a director named Krzysztof Kieslowski and his Three Colors series, which went blue, white, red, the colors of the french flag from left to right.
Shaun of the Dead had a strawberry Cornetto, red relating to all the blood, Hot Fuzz had an original one that comes in a blue wrapper, blue relating to da fuzz, and now world's end is rumored to have a mint chocolate chip cornetto, green obviously relating to aliens and such.

fairly old news but whatever, no-one has posted about it yet as far as I can tell
Since there's jack-shit about this movie right now, I'm putting this in the news section. As soon as more details are revealed I'll move this to general discussion. But that probably won't be for a good while since this movie is probably not gonna be out for like 2 years.
