Is there a way to update the Steam version using Hammerfight 1.05?
Is there a way to update the Steam version using Hammerfight 1.05?
Which is better? The Machine Hammer or the Warhammer?
I am somehow getting mouse lag on one level, I don't know if that is supposed to happen really. I move and my craft moves half a second later. Makes it kinda harder.
haha oh wow
Anyone else find swords particularly USELESS. The blunt side of a sword isn't particularly effective due to it their lack of weight, their blade deals constant damage to soft targets, but the AI is so stupidly effective with shielding whenever you're attacking and there's only a very small window of opportunity to slash at them while they're attacking, and you'll probably want to dodge that if you're running no or light armor.
420 use flails everyday
I only use swords for grim/levels with worm things or beeeeeeeees.
I have come to think something is wrong with my game. I have fully beat the campaign mode and have gotten to level 21 on the arena, but no grim gamemode is showing up and i can't live long enough to beat level 21 on arena, leading to me not having any gems but the one you get at the beginning of the campaign, and next to no weapons at ALL because I've got no money. What do i do? I tried find a way to edit saves and whatnot but to no avail.
I feel like an idiot for asking but how do you continue a saved game?
I love this game, but i hate how the unlocking of gamemodes works. I managed to go through my first solo mode without unlocking anything good other than the relic sword at the end and the ruby from fighting the sophit.
I killed the sophit on like the 4th mission and it didn't drop anything, also, I didn't have a choice to fight it or not.
Swords are better if you dual wield them. Sometimes I like to just take both, but don't connect them, so I have loads of force in a single swing, while still having a lightweight weapon.
I just figured since the slicing damage didn't work with destroying armor and once I got rid of their armor they were pretty much dead anyway I just said 'fuck it' and picked up my flail combo or warhammer. Both work to destroy armor consistently, damage the enemy at the same time, confuse them, and do plenty of damage to soft targets.
Nothing happens when I complete lvl 2 :(.
Is there anyway to get rid of a weapon so I can rebuy it and put a new gem in?
I use the Ritor, which is a heavy, sharp, double ended sword, in combination with the Saian, which is the same sword you used, probably.
I have a large and a small sapphire in the Ritor, and an emerald in the Saian. They're useful, because the frost makes me do large amounts of damage, break enemy weapons, guns and shields easier. It also does a blast just like the ruby.
The emerald makes me noclip.
I played this a bit like a year or two ago.I think I played the demo or maybe it was just free back then.Fun as hell.
This might be a bit of a late question, but I find it confusing that there's no info on this at all in the game, nor in the OP, nor anywhere else I could quickly find.
My question is this: What the fuck is all of this:
Literally the only thing I understand is that I beat the level, the rest is just a bunch of random numbers and icons for no particular reasons. Explain please? :3
Finally got rid of my weapon by going into arena and catapulting it into the sky. It kept giving me my weapon back even after going into a fight, dropping it and finishing the fight.
Cog - Machine, Star - Human Spared, Skull - Human Killed, Bones - Creature Killed
Fame is just fame. The coins are how much money you got from that fight.
I know the top one is enemies killed, the "points" is money you got, the one after is obviously a rating (but I am unsure how the rating system works nor what is good or bad because it's based on medals and color of the metal).
Wow someone beat me to it. Oh well, I wasn't very helpful anyways...
Is there any way to play lower levels of arena without new profiles?
I love arena but I'm getting destroyed by auto bomb launchers and stupid shit now.
Thanks a lot NinjaWilko and Mikaru.
Now I have a little more overview.
Really that's the only things I dislike about this game. It has a somewhat confusing layout, especially the Hall seems kind of strange. The other is that sometimes it seems that the game just overwhelms you with visual bullshit. Like smoke and debris, or that god damn background guy in the training-dummy area. But it looks nice and it isn't that bad :D
Oh yeah, and where can I actually get weapons? I know that shop guy, but he only has like 4 items which is usually two potions, a shield and something you can throw. But I want weapons. Do I need to unlock them somehow?
You aren't given more than one option at a time, so you just have to buy whatever comes up and hope the next one is something better.
Start Arena game, destroy first enemy in one swing, next 3 enemies appear and all launch siege bombs.
Thanks Mikaru and Loofiloo !
I can't believe this game has more weapons, even though I know my collection is tiny as fuck, I've been amazed at some things so far. The moring star flail thing is awesome, and when I tried it on the dummy and I actually got stuck and then had to pull it out... That was amazingly satisfying.
The gold axe you can unlock often gets stuck in enemies when you use the pointy end. It's nasty when you use it with the right flail, since you can just hold the enemy there as you smack the shit out of them with the flail.
Apparently none of my saved games are working. I press the escape button after I complete a level to save and exit, but when I come back nothing is saved. It just says New Game.
The colossus makes grim so easy.
Colossus is overrated.
Yeah but nothing beats the satisfaction of bypassing armor in wraith form and destroying someone with an ideal blade strike, then chaining it up by doing the same thing to another enemy.
Also, if anything is overrated, it's armor.
Decided to chuck away all the armor bits I had attached to my ship, and suddenly shredding enemies apart en masse became commonplace.
Finally found out how to deal with explosives and the small arena as well.
For the explosives, you could set your in game graphics to something like .5, and it removes the horrible shaking, blinding lights, and general blurriness. Might have been posted before, but it needs to be told more.
As for the small arena with the four torches, you basically spawn camp the lower enemies since they always will appear from those rooms and won't attack for a while, a good swing or so should leave them stunned long enough to bat the upper one away. Just have to finish them off as soon as possible from there, since they won't be clumped together anymore making it easier to damage them.
Goddamn, I chose hammerball instead of fighting. (Accident of course)
