I'm getting error messages when i try to set myself as owner. Theis no longer a command.Code:rcon gmanage_giveowership <YourGIDNumberHere>
As well as gmanage_setowner gives me an error saying this

Is this the first time you have done it? if so make sure you remember the < and >, I forgot those when I first tried ^^

I've been able to add myself as admin before the update. I remove it though due to the problems i was having. I did have < >. Do i need a space like <1> or like this. < 1 >
I used a different command last time too.
I don't remember trying it however.. The command was basically the same. It just used ( ) instead.

My apologies, it was 'gmanage_setowner'. Also, I committed a fix to the UserID lua error thingy.

Okay cool. Lol I've been pretty dedicated to this topic. No idea why. I guess its because this would be a Great admin mod. Once everything is properly set and fixed.

Could we get a clear decals option?
Also, For the quick menu. You should make it like assmod. Then i would love this admin mod! Couldn't you do that? Because didn't the people who made assmod make this mod too? Or they helped? It would be a great idea.
One more thing. You cannot set the default group. It will not save.
Okay okay, I just thought of another. How can i get my wire mod limits to show up? That would also be very handy to have working in sync with Gmanage.

The menu won't open for me, I bound +gmanager to "MOUSE5" amd I use the bind but nothing opens, although there is no console error either.

Did you try it with a key command? Instead of a mouse key?

I know right? I love the sui_scoreboard. Works with my Assmod. I'd love to see it work with GManage.

I am very pleased with the latest update of this mod. Currently, I have only a few issues:
1. For some reason, when setting permissions for a team with a higher rank, the permissions for lower ranked teams will also change. Also, some user-specific permissions don't seems to always "stick" when the server restarts.
2. I would like to be able to set custom commands as permissions. For example, I would like to give a certain group the ability to use god mode, but not other certain groups. (And what happened to the feature seen in this picture?)
3. I would really like to see teleport and health commands added (teleport, bring, goto, hp, armor).
4. I would like to be able to change players' teams (preferably with their rank).

Can someone give a current status of this mod? I've looked at a couple of pages of posts and i've considered using it for my server but I don't wanna go thru the hassle and find out it has a ton of bugs.

Only thing I can find wrong is- doesn't allow you to disable players spawning with HL2 weapons, STILL doesn't disallow spawning restricted weapons from the spawn menu, and it does not have a admin nolimits feature.

I have used ULX, ASSMod, and NewAdmin, and am liking the feel of GManage. Well done on the in-game rank editor! However I feel it needs...
- A sorted list of entities/sweps (even just alphabetical, SBMP made my list nigh unreadable)
- Admins have no sbox_max limits
- Could pressing X again while the menu is stuck open (after clicking any menu) close the menu again, like how the Q menu works?
- Selection of HL2 weapons to spawn with (like your entities list), and could "strip weapons" clear their weapons and then give them these defaults? That way the Minge who somehow got weapons can be reduced to just their phys/grav/toolgun, which they'd just respawn to get anyway. I can't think of too many moments I'd not want someone to have their phys/toolgun yet wouldn't of kicked them.
- The download MOTD button in config doesn't appear to work, I keep getting a blank screen. Also !motd is broken, [sv_chatcommands.lua:58: attempt to get length of local 'p' (a nil value)]
- A teleportation plugin (!tp, !goto *Player*, !send *Player* *Player2*),
- Individual player-Godmode and set health.
Also, when does the "Please be patient whilst the server is setup." message go away?

How can i do giveownership its dosent work
Ok i gave myself ownership but now every time i try and do anything it says "You do not have enough privileges to do that"

This mod is a completely useless unless this bug can be fixed it even says i am server owner in gmamange and then i have the privilege "all" but i can do ANYTHING

I had that same problem but after I delete the data folder for the server and re-gave myself owner it worked again :S

My AssMod is starting to do some weird things on my server. I want to use GManage but there are too many things that it lacks that AssMod has. Keep the updates comming!

I have to say, your addon looks grate but I dont know if I like some of the ideas you put into it :S
Like u cant edit / view owner group and i seem to have the problem of groups/privileges, when i change them and hit apply they dont seem to take effect.
another reason why i like ULX is its not only got the menus but its got commands as well.
Also a side note if u do a jail system i hop you take after assmod, if i can remember right it makes it so you cant us the Q menu + strips your weapons. Even know if you think about it jail is kinda pointless its like never used anymore, but if you going to do it might as well do it right!

Not being able to edit the top/bottom rank is a great just-in-case idea IMO, especially since theres the 'set default' and 'copy rank from:' option. I wanted my owner rank to have a custom colour, so I just made "The Owner", copied from "Server Owner", and changed colour. Simple.
thomasfn, your system of plugins isn't very modular at all. I'm making Teleport at the moment, and it looks like I need to edit: Privelage.txt OR sv_structure.lua (can't tell which yet), cl_quickmenu.lua, cl_structure.lua, cl_submenus.lua, AND my own sv_teleportation.lua? Not to mention probably sv_chatcommands.lua. For them to really be "plug in's", they need to at least have the potential to be self-contained.
Also it appears the 'restricted' rank, and hence all ranks copied from it, have a mysterious hidden "Do not let them do anything at all with toolgun" that isn't in any menu or config. I just copied Restricted, ticked on Everything, and still no toolgun (on their own props, world, others). I even disabled your prop protection plugin in favour of my own (because it has Buddies).
Though I hate the plugin interface, coming soon: Teleportation, god, ragdoll, unlimited ammo, and many more chat commands.

This would be a good admin mod if there wasn't so many bugs. As of now, I wont be using GManage until the bugs are fixed and there are some things added.

I retract my previous insults to the plugin interface! That IS impressively modular. Plugins CAN be entirely self-contained, all except for chat commands, but technically thats a plugin too.
My additions, loosely based on NewAdmin addons, which were mostly designed from ASSMod plugins, who one could argue took ideas from ULX, which is basically the Garrysmod equivalent of Mani Admin Mod. :D
-Godmode, !god *target*, !ungod *target*
-Teleportation. !goto *target*, !bring *target*, !tp *target* (sends target to where you're looking)
-Ragdolling, !ragdoll *target*, !unragdoll *target* (with decent error checking for once)
-Additional chatcommands for existing abilities, like !rocket, !strip, !freeze, !blind
-Changemap chatcommand, !map *gamemode* *mapname*
-Unlimited Ammo for all guns, !unlimitedammo *target*, !limitammo *target*
-Emotes (Nebual laughs, rather than Nebual says: laughs), !me Your Message Here.

Ok, I've done a bit more testing.
Nebual, thanks again for the addons, is there a way to tie console commands to the actions you created? I would like to bind the teleport ability to a key for easy access.
As for GManage itself, I have only a few more requests.
1. Is it possible to let certain groups manipulate "world props"? (Such as the ragdolls created by Nebual's plugin).
2. Can we get a fancy-er scoreboard? Something similar to the sui_scoreboard that works with ulx.
I can't really think of anything else at the moment. Thank you once again for creating this awesome admin mod, I can't wait to shift my server over to the new system.

You can just use bind key "say !tp Sam" and it'll execute.
I might make serverside console commands later though, in case you need to remote admin the server.
Manipulate world props, according to GManage's prop protection? I might be able to make the ragdolls ownerless, if GM's PP supports that. Or would it be better to make them owned by the admin who used the command? I prefer SimplePropProtection myself.

The chat commands haven't been working for me for some reason. Also, the upside to pure console commands is that they can be executed faster.
As for the ragdoll thing, I think thats a matter of adjusting the mod's prop protection, I wouldn't worry too much about trying to modify the ragdoll command.
Edit: I seem to have encountered a major issue. When users connect to a server that has not received the VAC ok message (which usually comes about 3 minutes after a server initially starts up), the server sees them as "STEAM_ID_PENDING". If they stay on the server when their steam ids are finally visible, they will inherit whatever group "STEAM_ID_PENDING" is in.
For example, I have "STEAM_ID_PENDING" set to restricted. If I join the server just after it starts up, I am (rightfully) set as "restricted". When the server eventually knows what my steam id is, it will actually modify my user file, changing my group from "owner" to "restricted". This means that anyone who joins my server after a restart will loose all of there recorded time, and be reset to the lowest group.

All you need is the uteam.txt file and sui_scoreboard will work.

I'm not sure if this is a part of the GManage system but I kinda find it annoying with your auto kicker. Not sure if GManage includes this. If it does any chance that you could do something about kicking people for "Chat misuse"? I got kicked for saying OMG and making smiley faces.
