Wow, I find the demo levels (really Time and Place) really tough. It's a cool game, though, and the music is awesome.

Yah in order to unlock the final room (the attic) you need all the puzzle pieces and you need to solve all the puzzles.

And yeah, I figured out the last level on World 5, completely by accident. It wasn't until I did for several times did it really click... it was so simple! The green key threw me off and the goomba guy.

I just beat the demo. Really great, the music is awesome and the puzzles are challenging and fun.

I think it's the cloud level where you have to use the painting's puzzle of a bridge piece to move to the next bridge, that was really cool and took me a while to figure it out.

Just played the demo. It looks great, sounds great and is actually way better than I expected. Best puzzle game I played this year.

Lovely game; I accidentally spoiled the ending for myself back when it was out on 360, so some of the intrigue is missing, but still a great game so far.

Getting the 7 hidden stars is infuriating beyond all belief.

You're playing the bad guy, running away from a life you've destroyed basically.
Alternate Story is that Tim is one of the scientists who worked on the first atomic bomb and the princess is a metaphorical representation of the bomb itself, as if you collect all 7 hidden stars then go to the princess - She explodes.    <-- I like the alternate story better.

Bah, why does this game not use V-sync? I played the demo and had to physically stop because the tearing was giving me a gigantic headache.

    That would be world 4.

The first world is actually "World 2", then it's World 3 (where some things are not affected by time manipulation), then World 4 (where you moving forward or backward on the level determines the flow of time)

The demo blew my mind, but I still feel like $15 is a bit steep. Am I wrong in thinking that?

The Orange Box really set a new standard for value for me and it's hard to lay out that much cash for a short (but challenging) puzzle platformer.

$15 is hardly anything. Most indie games run up to around $20-$25, and braid is one of the better indie games I've played and it's $15.

It's only short if you know the solutions to all the puzzles or don't get all the puzzle pieces (which means you don't beat the game and don't get to the final room).

It's defiantly worth the value, and worth more to me than many retail games priced at $60.

I'm going to be a little pretentious here and quote something I agree with from a review some magazine did for Braid:

"Braid is a risky experiment climaxing in glorious success. Ask yourself when last you felt a sense of reward and achievement playing a game; not Achievement with a capital 'A' and ten Microsoft points, but an actual sense of pride... And when did a game really make you look at the world differently?"

Actually, this is how I think Braid is supposed to be:
(SPOILERS OF THE WHOLE GOD DAMN GAME)
You're actually supposed to be in a scientists way of thinking, that the Princess is an A-Bomb and you're a scientist trying to stop her, the whole game is supposed to be a lie, that it's just Einstein's imagination, to clear it out, you're a scientist (Einstein maybe?) who has made a bad choice in creating the bomb, and that the knight (could be?)is the world, and the princess is the bomb, the normal ending tells you how the world discovered the bomb and the last scene shows what has it become, and the alternate ending shows that how you saved the world, so yeah, it was all just a mindfuck
